Stretching along the southern side of Italy's Sorrentine Peninsula, the Amalfi coast dazzles with its mysterious grottos, craggy cliffs and shimmering bays. Grab a seat on the sea side of a regional bus to soak up views on the fabled route from artsy Positano to Amalfi. Ravello offers some respite from the crowds, plus the stunning Villa Cimbrone, which overlooks the Bay of Salerno. The historic section of Sorrento has winding streets filled with craftspeople. Capri is only a hydrofoil or ferry ride away.

SPACE MAO, a hidden corner in the magnificent Amalfi, where art, nature and relax blend together, between the reading corner, the silent garden, the space of thought and the white terrace.

Ceramiche Cosmolena di Margherita Di Palma is an Art Gallery, museum moda and shopping
We visited Ravello four years ago. Great selection and assistance at Cosmolena. Very friendly sales help. We had a serving platter and 6 mix-and-match dinner plates shipped to our home in Dallas. We have loved being reminded of our trip whenever we eat on the lovely plates. Over the next few years, we have ordered additional items remotely and had them shipped to us -- matching salad plates, matching bowls, and a patio table that is to-die-for. It all arrived expertly packed -- really some of the best packing of breakable items I have ever seen. Their website is helpful, but I have been most impressed with the back-and-forth with photos and options that has made our remote purchasing feel more personalized. We have loved our ongoing connection to Cosmolena and look forward to visiting Ravello in person again someday soon.

Art gallery: works of art-paintings, sculptures ,engravings, ceramics and jewellery-art
I was wandering Ravello and glanced into a space with some great artworks. One caught my eye so strongly that I returned to purchase it and another small painting. Working with Anna was great - she organized the shipping perfectly. Everything arrived so well packed and in perfect shape. Now I am enjoying wonderful memories of my time on the Amalfi Coast

Art gallery, paintings, artistic glass and precious souvenirs, all proudly Italian, designed and handmade by local artisans to leave you a remind of the true Positano lifestyle once at home ! Galleria d'arte, dipinti, vetro artistico e preziosi souvenir, tutti orgogliosamente Italiani, disegnati e fatti a mano da artigiani locali per lasciarti un ricordo di Positano una volta a casa !
When in Italy you can quite easily become overwhelmed with all the ceramic and Murano glass places. Having been to Murano and seeing how expensive the real glass was there, I was quite surprised to find this boutique shop in Positano with competitive prices in comparison with Murano. Going into this shop was like being in a candy store. There was such variety and beauty, it was hard not to buy a lot! I had been looking for a jug and 6 glass set but never found it in Venice or Murano. I ended up finding a quirky multicoloured set of 6 glasses @E45 each = E270 and the matching jug @E150 = E420, plus insurance fee of E21 and a special discounted packaging cost of E88 and the rest paid by them = total E529 / $879AU. Very reasonable. When they arrived in Australia there was a small import fee. They were boxed extremely well. Nothing broken and there was the guarantee of replacement of any broken goods - with photographic proof. Thank you to the lovely ladies that work there - no pressure into buying, just an appreciation of fine art and beautiful ceramics / glassware. I hope to return one day. What a lovely place to work.

I know, I know. A paper museum? But this spot is truly fascinating! The paper mill has been operating since the 13th century and the tour gives you a great overview of the techniques used to make paper from that time onward- from the manual cotton presses to the water-powered pulp mills to the electric mills of more modern times. What's more, you can actually see demonstrations of these massive devices as they would have been used centuries ago! Our tour guide switched seamlessly between English and Italian and we had no problems following the demonstrations. We even got a free paper sample at the end, and the gift shop has some lovely items, including pressed flowers, notebooks and personalized wax seals. The surrounding neighbourhood is quite picturesque, as well, and it's worth a jog up the road from the marina.

Purchased a beautiful set, as pictured, and it arrived in perfect shape just a few days after my return to the US. Looking forward to a lifetime of remembering Ravello with these handmade treasures.
