Feel Nomad is a great, professional, well-run company with reliable cars and english speaking guides who love to hike and explore as much as you do. I did the Canyons trip, along with extra days at Karakol and Ala Archa and it was all great. They were flexible with the itinerary based on my interests and mood, had great local knowledge, were able to setup yurt stays and guesthouse stays which typically would be harder for non Russian speakers to arrange, easy to talk to during the long drives, and best of all they were great at all the intense hiking Overall highly recommended specially if you want a nature/hiking/adventure focused tour when in Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan is a land-locked country in Central Asia, located along the ancient Silk Road, a crossroad for people of various origins and traditions, yet the prevailing culture is that of a nomadic lifestyle shaped by the natural surroundings. Kyrgyz shepherds move around with their flocks of animals according to seasons, living in tent-like homes called yurts; there’s a saying that goes “only in death, when he is buried, that a Kyrgyz stops wandering”. Kyrgyzstan rewards visitors with unspoiled nature, hospitality, and free spirit of nomadic traditions. In summer, high plateau pastures (jailoo) and lakesides are dotted with nomad tents, it is the best season to experience nomad lifestyle.

Went on a private tour with my family, 6 of us in 2 four-wheel drives. Mas and Tahir were friendly, helpful and organised, and ensured that our trip went smoothly without a hitch. The hotel and restaurant bookings were part of the package. We tried the local cuisine, including horse milk! Mas and Tahir also prepared wonderful picnic lunches for us to enjoy in the valleys. Some of the lodgings were tied to unforgettable experiences such as horse riding through the mountainous areas of Chon Kemin. Staying in yurts was an eye-opening experience for sure. We were also very fortunate to watch the Nomadic Games, which attracted many locals in beautiful traditional outfits. I am in awe of the untouched beauty Kyrgyzstan has to offer (Jety Oguz, Issyk Kul) and will definitely want to visit Kyrgyzstan with Atlas’ experienced tour guide Mas.

The Kyrgyz land is a place of the untouched wild nature where the people from ancient times still keep their traditions, customs, and culture. In the mountains, you can meet the modern nomads who do not change their lifestyle for centuries. Their simple life can go into the yurt, a felt house that Kyrgyz nomads set so skillfully and decorate it with such love by multi-colored carpets. I contacted BEX via email and the responses were very quick which I really appreciated. I arranged for a driver to pick us up at the Korday Border in Kazakhstan to drop us off at our hotel in Almaty - DoubleTree Almaty. We paid 2600 som in cash. Initially they sent me the driver information with the name, phone number, car type and license plate. Then they changed the driver the day before. On the day we crossed the border from Kyrgyzstan, I could not find our driver so I emailed BEX and they changed the driver yet again and we had to wait 10 minutes for him to show up. We were told the original driver got sick. The car they used was an older Mercedes but it was quite comfortable. The drive took 3.5 hours because there was some road construction. When we walked out to Korday, there were actually ALOT of drivers asking if we wanted to go to Almaty. We even had someone say he would take us for 10000 tenge which is quite a bit less than what we actually paid. So if you don't mind negotiating a bit, you can get a car pretty easily. However, if you want peace of mind, I would recommend BEX. When I contacted other companies, it was actually quite a bit more.
