December 25, 2021 Jasper Kershner

Amhara (Amharic: አማራ) is one of the nine ethnic divisions (kililoch) of Ethiopia, containing the homeland of the Amhara people. Previously known as Region 3, its capital is Bahir Dar. Ethiopia's largest inland body of water, Lake Tana, which is the source of the Blue Nile river, is located within Amhara. The region also contains the Semien Mountains National Park, which includes Ras Dashan, the highest point in Ethiopia. Amhara is bordered by the state of Sudan to the west and northwest, and in other directions by other regions of Ethiopia: Tigray to the north, Afar to the east, Benishangul-Gumuz to the west and southwest, and Oromia to the south.

My boyfriend and I traveled for 3 weeks in Ethiopia. Because we decided to travel independently, we reached a point in which we were a little lost. At this point we received Alex's phone number. We hoped to get a few tips from Alex about the area we were in, but in the end Alex not only gave us info on the area we were stuck in, but helped us plan the whole rest of our trip. He gave us creative ideas on how we can realize the exact trip we had hoped for without compromising. Not only was Alex exceedingly professional he was also kind and caring, always checking up on us throughout our whole journey. Rarely do you meet someone who is willing to be so helpful and in our case we were super lucky because if it weren't for Alex our trip would have looked very different and we probably wouldnt have succeeded in doing it. So 100% Recommended, Thank you Alex for all your help and kindness. Eli and Doron

I've got the best possible service, as for me. I had a really good guide and great driver. He was very attentive: I did video on the way with opened windows and driver closed window for safety and said me I can continue to video street life. I liked traditional clothing market a lot: if you want to have really beautiful souvenir from Ethiopia, I think Shiromeda ( I'm not sure, if I wrote it correctly..) is the best possible place)) I really highly appreciative for the service I had. We visited Mercato market and I felt totally safe there: without a guide I would never go there. But with the guide it was very interesting and safe visit. The tour is flexible and it's great: you can choose what is interesting for you. We bought good coffee on the way and also I've tasted avocado and mango juice)) The owner of company is great and treated me in the best way)) Highly recommended Ethio Travel and Tours for your tours through Ethiopia and Addis.

Without doubt one of the favourite tour guides inn Ethiopia. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Mass Ethiopia tour , our names were mentioned on the board and we felt welcomed and with such a friendly atmosphere we had a fantastic start! The guide and tour was extremely good, very flexible (appreciate this!) and for that he deserves a special thanks. We had two great days there, which obviously also added up to the experience. Mastewal is such a warm personality and highly motivated guide (recommendable!). The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to all of us. All respect for Mastewal who does a great job there; a true sample of excellent tour guide! Many thanks again and I recommend Mass Ethiopia Tour
