This city on the central Vietnamese coast is a well-preserved example of the important Southeast Asian trading port it was from the 15th-19th centuries. Already a common stop for backpackers, it is becoming better known to tourists. On the 14th day of each lunar month, the town trades its electric lights for traditional colored lanterns. Sights include the Japanese Covered Bridge and the Quan Cong Temple. Let the town’s expert tailors make you some bespoke clothing.

I had such a great time seeing the city by night and trying so many delicious foods in Hue! The guide was very informative and told me a lot about the history of the city and the general day-to-day life living in Hue. She even recommended some things for me to do for the rest of my trip. I am so happy I did this tour and it was one of my favorite parts of my time in the city! I can’t wait to return to Hue one day.

I was very fortunate in visiting on a sunny, cloudless day, if a little hazy. I found the bridge somewhat disappointing, not being as long as I had anticipated and full of tourists intent on blocking the entire path taking pictures of their partners. The gardens however were very impressive and I was fortunate in catching the dancing show. It is a further 750,000 dong to go on to Ba Na Hills, It certainly is a long cable car ride and the site on the top of the mountain is impressive, probably reflecting the high cost of the ticket. This seemed a Disneyland copy but without the crowds, thankfully due to the virus. It seemed full of restaurants which I did not check to see were open. There were amusements and the shortage of visitors gave me the opportunity to ride a dodgem car and go on the roller coaster which goes down the mountain and, somewhat surprisingly, has a handbrake. I enjoyed the day but it is expensive for what is there but if I had chosen a wet day, I would have been very disappointed since the outdoor features and views are the main attraction.

We start early in the morning to enjoy the cool breeze in the town. In order to avoid the heats and big crowds at the Sanctuary, we will be starting at 7:00 AM with our motorbike team. After our pick-up at your accommodation, let’s grab some Bánh Mì and sit down at a local Vietnamese coffee shop hidden in an alley to have full energy for the day. Having a quick glimpse of a traditional pottery village on a bank of the Champa’s sacred river, we will immerse ourselves into local lives by zig-zagging through the countryside villages with rivers, paddy fields, and so on. We will spend around 1.5 hours there to learn about the Champa civilization's history, culture, and amazing art of architecture that have been there for the last one thousand years. After that, we will stop by a restaurant for lunch with Quảng noodles which is a famous local food from rice, vegetables, chicken, and unique soft noodle soup. - Do you have kids? No worries. We can adjust this tour to be more kid-friendly.
