The executive studios are good-sized and clean, with new appliances, air conditioning and large TV with access to Sky plus personally-subscribed providers like Netflix etc. Reception very accessible, and from conversations I learned the proprietor has a lot of international experience running high end accommodation. Free parking, and literally across the road from Tauranga Hospital's main entrance. The CBD is a few minutes' drive away, supermarket and eateries within walking distance. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again - terrific

Reviewed By hanniepexThe place is very accesible from state hiway and few blocks away from Bayfair mall. We did not expect that a motel could have been that complete. The check in was very smooth. The guy accompanied us to our room. The unit has 2 floors. Ground floor has 1 single bed, small receiving area and mini kitchen. Mini kitchen has cuttleries, kitchen utensils, pans and mini fridge. The toilet hAs bath tub and complete with toiletries. Queen size bed is uptairs. I must commend this has the most generous plug/ socket that we have ever stayed in! I think the entire unit has 5 x 2 plugs. Yehey!! Thats 10 gadgets or appliance at the same time. Lol. There is a heater panel as well but electric fan is provided too. We are delighted that we were able to use their heated pool After a tiring day from walking around. The check out was fast and easy too! Will recommend this motel to everyone who does not expect something grand and not fussy. We are happy to stay here again and again in the future

A short walk takes you to some excellent shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. The proprietors are very friendly and the allocated car park was adjacent to the room.

The Mission Belle is a family run motel in Mount Maunganui (Mauao). The Belle's hosts are Cathy and Ray who came over from England in 2008 and fell in love with the place as soon as they saw it. One of their favourite countries in the world is Spain and because it reminded them so much of the spanish buildings they were used on the coast it seemed to be the perfect scenario - a little piece of Spain in New Zealand - what more could they want??!! Unfortunately it wasn't available for them to own at that time but as soon as it came on the market, they snapped it up! They've been in the motel since December 2011 and have so far loved every minute of it. There is a sizable barbeque area and various seating areas dotted around the property, with or without shade and they have improved on the landscaping. The rooms were originally decorated with a "spanish' feel about them (hence the name) and now Cathy and Ray feel that updating the rooms is high on the agenda of plans that they have for the place. It is ideally located, close to all amenities that the Mount has to offer - fantastic cafes, amazing restaurants, and the beautiful stores that are all very appealing. With only a couple of minutes walk to the quiet Pilot Bay beach and a five minute walk to the main beach, there really is no need of a pool! Having said that, the Hot Pools are at the base of Mauao and are easily accessible with a ten to fifteen minute walk from the Belle. A beautiful walk around Mauao where you can take in some fantastic sights, or a more energetic or if preferred, a slow climb up to the summit will be an effort well rewarded with the magnificent views over the town and the sights of Tauranga.

Reviewed By mike385The property is close to the main beach and also Pilot Bay beach. Its in the main shopping area so very handy and great for shopping and restaurants. The room we had was spotless and well laid out. The reception is remote. Email and text instructions. OK for us. Probably a bit “ clinical” with it’s white paint but goes with the overall theme. Happy to recommend. Thought the price was high but in keeping with other accommodation in the locality.

Selection of super king, queen and single beds. All units have dining areas, shower bathrooms, flat screen TVs with SMART TV's and Netflix, also free ultrafast unlimited WiFi in every room. Walking distance to beach supermarket, RSA, and shops, restaurants.

They were helpful, friendly and professional. Large grass ares for children to play, close to New World and beach, clean adequate room.

Reviewed By Jean CWe only spent one night here. Good value for money, the beds were good, having a private spar a bonus after a long day. Very clean and tidy and a comfortable ground floor unit, which we had asked for. Getting to the place when you dont know Tauranga was a mission the last roundabout with traffic lights just before the road was confusing but that's not the fought of the motel. It did say coffee machine on advertising, no plunger or machine but plunger coffee provided...... so it may have been taken. If we were staying longer I would have asked them about it. Over all comfortable.

The Tauranga airport is just over the harbour bridge and we can offer free courtesy pick-up and drop-offs for up to 4 people. The Otumoetai Golf Course is within a few minutes walk. Alongside we also have 3 cafes (The Raft, Le Petit Four Patisserie and The Chapel Cafe) on the Briscoes shopping complex at 65 Chapel Street. Countdown Supermarket and the fantastic Bureta Bar & Eatery are less than 5 minutes walk from our door.The region offers a wealth of activities and excursions with the beaches, estuary and boardwalks, watersports and sightseeing. Simply ask us and we can either organize these for you or steer you in the right direction.

Reviewed By Jade WWe are a family of 3 and stayed 4 nights in a studio unit. It was perfct for us, with a well equipped kitchen and enough seating. Very clean and nicely done up. Excellent, friendly service. The location was excellent, 5 minutes walk from a Countdown supermarket, and just down the road from a beach/estuary that has an awesome walking/biking track around it. Pool was clean and our daughter loved it.

Diane is lovely met me with a cheerful smile. pointed me in the right direction for the theater. was helpful & kind. Rm 16, is clean, tidy, well stocked with tea/coffee, comfortable beds & pillows. Bathroom is spacious well litup with lovely shower & amenities. room is brightly lit up too. skyTV, heat pump makes it warm & cosy. close to eateries get noisy early in the morning but we were up early so didn’t matter really. will definitely stay again. thanks Diane.

A Very Good Place To Stay

Roger and Pah are extremely welcoming, and went out of their way, to make us feel comfortable. We were originally booked for a hotel, at the city centre, but had to change our plans, last minute, and our company booked us here. It turned out to be a much better choice. We could have walked to cbd, and did on days where we had no schedule. Good exercise. Short walking distance to 2 major grocery stores, which is fabulous, since I love to cook. Many fast food places, pizza place being the closest (half block away), walking distance. It turned out to be a better choice for us, as my husband is subject to sleeplessness, when traffic sounds are prevalent. Since we were here for 2 months, it was restfully quiet. We were swimming most days, and even when there were meetings being held, we were not disturbed by the traffic. We even borrowed the barbecue a few times, for sausage sizzles. Just lovely. We were treated like friends, and even the day we left, there were hugs all around, such a gorgeous couple. Their daughter is a lovely thing, great smile, smart as a whip, and hope to hear about her curing cancer, or saving the world someday. Roger, I have tried contacting you, but to no avail. You and Pah, and daughter, take care, have a lovely life, and maybe we will meet again someday...
