We really enjoyed this grand old inn on the main street and it's proprietor Sean. He gave us all a custom map of Cape Breton with notable places of interest on the Cabot trail. Everyone we chatted with in this town were so friendly(and all knew Sean!)

Stay at our historical and charming motel and enjoy beautiful sunsets and the view on Lake Milo. A continental breakfast is included for our guests and can be upgraded to our hot breakfast plate. We have recently added a Spa to our facility where you can book services like manicures and pedicures. Lakelawn B&B and Motel is the place to go when visiting Yarmouth.
The motel is not exactly facing the lake, but it is near enough. The rooms were okay, though ours was a bit stuffy and the windows were low and faced the front, so we did not feel we could leave them open A minimum breakfast is brought to the room in the morning.

Located off Highway 101 and just a short drive to Halifax, Wolfville, New Minas and Acadia University, our Super 8 Windsor, NS hotel is the perfect spot to refuel during your journey. Close to Ski Martock and the eastern gate of Annapolis Valley, our non-smoking hotel offers great amenities at affordable rates.
Dirty.. creeky stained floors. Chicken bones spread all through the hallway for the 20 hours we Were there they were never picked up or disposed of. Definitely some sketchy drug use/prostitution going on in there. Side door opened all night with a rock definitely didn’t feel comfortable or safe being there. Not worth 150$ a night and won’t be back. PS absolutely no room to swim in the pool and dangerous for little ones as the pool is literally only big enough to come down the slide.. also hit the bottom every time we did use the slide. 1 star is very accurate

Enjoy the friendly staff and beautiful setting of our Travelodge Sydney hotel. We are near the Trans-Canada Highway overlooking beautiful Sydney Harbour. Our clean and accommodating guest rooms were designed with your comfort in mind, featuring thoughtful amenities to brighten your stay.
I think we were supposed to ask for the rooms to be made because in the four days we were there, no one came to clean or empty the garbage in either of the two rooms we booked. The staff was always very pleasant and friendly. It's just the building that's tired. Oh, and the billing process is way too complicated. There were four transactions to my card. As the reception staff was explaining to me, I could hear the other young lady on the phone having to explain it all to someone else. We weren't the only ones confused. The staff must waste a lot of time having to explain the billing procedures that the Travelodge company decided to go with. The breakfast was bagged and easy to get from the reception area. As mentioned earlier, the staff was always lovely! :)

Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely place right by the water with low windows and seating to make most of the view from the room. Plenty of tea and coffee. Parts of the room were a bit dusty and there was a slight smell of damp but we were there late may before the season got going.

The Cliffy Cove Motel surprised us ( we had reservations in a nearby hotel that had meanwhile ceased to exist) with its warm welcome, good sized room and wonderful view (once the fog cleared). It is only a few kilometers from Peggy's Cove. Nice place.

The Lighthouse Motel & Cottages is one of only a few remaining 1950s drive-in motels in Nova Scotia. Under new ownership and management since Spring 2017, all 15 air-conditioned units have been completely renovated creating a boutique lodging experience along the LaHave River. Blending modern Canadiana with eclectic coastal elements, The Lighthouse boasts 500 feet of waterfront with a small private beach as well as several acres of green space appointed with communal BBQs, picnic tables for al fresco dining and various seating areas highlighted by a large communal firepit. Unique to the property is a renovated boathouse cottage converted into 3 studios directly on the LaHave River & a 2 bedroom cottage that can accommodate up to 6 guests. Situated on the historic Lighthouse Route minutes away from Crescent & Rissers Beaches, the property is perfectly situated for exploring nearby Lunenburg, Mahone Bay & Kejimkujik National Park. Oh, & dogs are welcome here!
We're living in Nova Scotia for 15 years from Toronto and still not seen many beautiful places in this province yet. This motel is one of them, absolutely amazing!!! location, property, owner's hospitality, etc... Each room has different theme and decor, so beautiful. We stayed a room has a kitchen and it has everything. You don't need anything. I surprized they provided us, cream and milk for morning coffee were in the fridge. It was so nice to have Timothy's K- cup coffee. Lovely! Small things like this make your staying more perfect. And their outdoor space is also great. a lot of chair to look at the beautiful view of Lahave river. One of the owner, Marc showed us around the property when we checked in. He was very friendly and helpful. What a hidden gem! We'll definitely go back and stay by the water view room :)

A peaceful seaside destination in a woodland setting; just one minute from historic Lunenburg. You'll hear the waves lapping at the shoreline from your choice of accommodation - a cozy cottage, housekeeping unit, or comfortable motel room. In the morning have coffee on the beach or in our pond-site sitting area while the sea gulls and red-winged blackbird greet the day.Families will love the Atlantic View's ample green space and beach where children can run, play in the waves and swim. This is a perfect location for vacationing sea kayakers and cyclists, and golfers will have a spectacular and challenging nine-hole course just over the hill from us. Historic Old Town Lunenburg, designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its exceptional architecture, natural beauty and working waterfront, is only 1.5 km away.
The room is fine. The wifi is iffy. The motel is located just a few minutes beyond a high hill overlooking Lunenberg. This same high hill provides one of the best glimpses of old town Lunenberg. The motel itself does have nice views of the Atlantic Ocean as well as a pond behind the rooms.

We stayed in a motel room. The room had a strong unidentified smell that we were not able to get rid of eve when we aired the room for hours. The temp. in the room was 28C when we checked in and we barely managed to get in down to 25 by the morning with all the windows open. The view from the room is great but this was a sleepover stop so we did not take advantage of it. It got dark early and everything around closed early so no places to get real dinner.
