I regularly travel from my home in the Midwest to my office in the Tempe, Arizona area, and I now ALWAYS stay at this Hampton Inn (even though there are many hotels closer to my office location) because the reception staff at the Hampton Inn Chandler-Fashion Center is simply exceptional. They go above and beyond the call, and always with great cheer. The hotel has my loyalty because of its staff. Highly recommended.

Nice energy overall. Pretty greenery around the building. The pool wasn’t crystal clear but not disgusting. I wish I had been given a better more private room location, especially since traveling alone. There were cigarette butts and smell outside on the balcony. I don’t smoke. The toilet ran in my room requiring me to jiggle handle during the night.

I arrived by taxi from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport at 1:00 AM. Previously I had contacted the property about my late arrival and they wrote me back that the reception was open 7/24. At 1:00 AM the front door was locked and I waited 10 minutes for the receptionist to show up. He told me he was on a 10 minutes brake. But this was only the beginning of an horrible experience. At the desk he informed me that my reservation was cancelled by the property as they were fully booked. (He also proceeded to tell the same story to two other clients who had arrived in the meantime and had confirmed reservations). I told him I had no car, I just arrived to Phoenix, did not know the city and if he could help me. He refused. So I had to find a new transportation and go, by now it was 1:30 AM to a different hotel. Aside from the extra transportation cost I find this unbelievable. I will never book a Red Roof Inn again. Customers beware! I never got to see the room. The lobby was shabby, no breakfast available, the reception area has a couple of chair and nothing more. If I could give less than terrible I would.

This hotel is full of rift raft. I was awakened at midnight to a lady screaming in terror as I heard a taser go off. It was terrifying to hear that . Cops came , so obviously no sleep. After all that , the manager wanted to give me 30 percent off my next visit. RU kidding!!!! I would never stay at that Dump again. Place is noisy, dirty and not safe. Stay away!

I stayed here for my daughter's graduation and from the moment of check in this place lacked anyone who cared. Waited 5 minutes before someone showed up to check me in. On the way to check in noticed a gathering of men in the parking lot. Thought they were guest but they were not they just used the hotels facilities. No one on staff seemed to care. Next morning went to walk my dog and a Pitbull, off lease came running at my dog. It belonged to one of the men gathered in the parking lot. Next morning woke up to find 2 of my bikes had been stolen off the back of my car. Went to report it to management and again no one there waited again for 5 minutes before anyone showed up. Told them what happened and they acted as if this happened all the time and was routine. Not a single concern that one of their guests had been robbed. Safety of the guest should be the number one priority of a property but that was totally missing at this property.

I’m not sure how this place has 3+ star review rating. The room was as pictured though clearly very dated up close, and relatively clean (no visible roaches), but that’s about all the good I can say about it. Weird policy of taking a copy of your ID, and posted signs at check-in window indicating a 10pm curfew and other odd policies. The lobby is closed, and you must stand outside the check-in window, passing ID, etc through the security opening. That said, the check-in employee was pleasant but very to the point. The guest parking area is surrounded by a gate, which you can only enter with room key card (probably gives you an idea of the character of the area). We arrived very late, and since only staying 1 night and had secured reservation with a cc (would pay anyway if we didn’t stay) we decided to stay. If I were alone, I would have found somewhere else.

My adult daughter stayed long-term at the Studio 6 Tempe Arizona from January-February 2022 for approximately four weeks. She called the Front Desk on Sunday, 02/13, to reserve her room for one more week. She was informed that they were quite busy at the time, but eventually that evening she was able to inform them she wanted to reserve one more week. They did not ask for her card to charge for the week, I don’t know why. My daughter did not know she had to pay for the week stay by 11 am the next day. The hotel attempted to call her 2-3 times on Monday, 02/14, but she does not carry her phone on her at work. She was going to pay for the stay after work. When she returned to the hotel after work, they had confiscated all her belongings from her room, and she was told she would not be able to stay at the hotel until she got permission from a manager the next day. She was treated very coldly and rudely. Keep in mind, she had stayed at the hotel for three weeks by then. Long story, short she attempted to retrieve her belongings on Tuesday and Wednesday and was told they were not available to return to her. Keep in mind she did not have access to her clothes, laptop, food, and toiletries. When her property was eventually returned days later, at least half of the items were missing, which included 9 months’ worth of contact lens, glasses, clothes, mail with personally identifiable information, toiletries, and priceless, sentimental items. This series of unfortunate events reflects on questionable and incompetent practices by the management and front desk staff. I will say that my daughter felt safe at this hotel, so I am very grateful for that.

Motel 6 Phoenix Tempe - Priest Drive, ASU campus, Diablo Stadium (Spring home of the Anaheim Angels), and the Phoenix Zoo. For your convenience we also offer a coin laundry facility. Free Wi-Fi. Modern Rooms.
The room was clean but very basic. No extra t-paper, no tissues, certainly no shampoo or conditioner. The entire outside of this Motel 6 needs to be scrubbed. There is a Marriott and. Hyatt just down the street. Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra.
