Reviewed By RvMDlWe stayed here with friends for 1 night during golden week. The place is not in Atami downtown, nor by the beach. However, it offered ok size (very thin walls) rooms and good parking on facility, which is not easy to come by. The host welcomed us nicely and gave us information about the area.

Reviewed By pancakemarmalade到着しましたら、少し年配のご夫婦が笑顔で迎えてくれました。 夜になるとお母さんがまた優しい笑顔で料理を出しに来て、実家に帰った感じして、ほっこりしました。 夕食はとにかくとてもおいしかったので完食。 朝食の魚もおいしかったです。 お風呂は狭いですがよかったです。民宿は全体的に少し古いですが、清潔感があります。部屋もきれいで海が見えます。 接客とても温かくて、おもてなし最高でした。また泊まりに行きたいです。

They speak excellent english, are very friendly and welcoming... It's located close to the beach (3 minute walk) and close to the main town of Shimoda (15-20 minutes walk along the coast/bay) and the old town...

ご飯がすごくおいしい宿です。
Reviewed By s_kouno・部屋 2階の和室に泊まりました。 ８畳の大きさで、小さなTVもありました。 ・食事 食事は、食堂に移動していただくシステムです。 チェックイン時に、夕食、朝食の時間を聞いてくれます。 夕食、朝食ともに品数が多く、様子をみながら料理を順々にだしていただけます。 夫婦ともに、食が細いわけではないのですが、おなかがパンパンになりました。 味付けは、食材の風味がよくわかるように、薄味でまとめられていました。 嫁さんと、「どれも美味しいね」と、味わっていただきました。 ビールを2本いただきました。居酒屋ではないので、長時間飲み食いできる感じではないですね。 ・風呂 風呂は、1階に２つ、家族風呂があり、宿泊客で順番に入るようになっています。 4名くらい入ることができる大きさです。 窓からは、宿の隣を流れる川が、みえます。 ・トイレ 共同です。 ・駐車場 5台くらい駐車できます。 少し狭いかな。 ・禁煙にしてほしい 1階、2階の廊下に、椅子とテーブルが設置されており、そこで喫煙できるので、トイレや、ふろに行くたびに、「臭い、煙たい」で、いやになります。 ぜひとも、館内禁煙にしていただきた。 ・トイレ トイレ用スリッパが、1セットしかおいていないので、トイレがあいていても、入れない時があります。

Excellent stay
Reviewed By Cristian1980_13Our experience in Hareya ryokan was 100% positive: we spent there two days of relax. The ryokan is very close (20 meters) to a nice beach of clear water. The rooms are in traditional Japanese style, with futons beds and tatami floor. Our room was very big and included private toilet (although it was not specified in the reservation) and tap. The common bathrooms (divided for men and women) were very clean and well equipped and the warm water bath very nice and relaxing. We had lunch in the ryokan and the qulity was good. There is a Japanese restaurant neraby with nice food and staff that I would also recommend (the personal of Hareya suggested it). But the best part of our experience was definetly the staff: their English is rather poor but they try with all means to help you in any way (even with the translation help of their smart phones). This made our experience also funnier and more interesting. We finally felt at home. Thank you Osamu!!
