La Tolteca has been in our neighborhood for over 50 years. The food is always amazing with excellent enchiladas, taquitos, flautas, tamales, etc. Very traditional fare with unique homemade sauces.
We came here because we were staying nearby and wanted some good, authentic Mexican food. We were not disappointed and soon learned that this restaurant has actually been around for decades, originally located by the Eastland shopping center. Service started off slow but was quite friendly and helpful. The menu is very extensive. Portions are large and very tasty. Drinks are good too! Towards the end, a large party arrived so things got noisy and service slowed but overall we had a very nice experience. We would definitely come here again.

If you love Mexican dishes, try this restaurant located at the West Covina Parkway. No need to go to East LA. They serve authentic and tasty tacos, chile rellenos, rice and beans. And the place is huge with a separate bar at the other side.My favorite is their Tamarindo Margarita. Refreshing and good with a just enough tequila. Truly enjoyed our meal and prices are reasonable.

Our server was awesome and made sure we were happy even though the food was of poor quality. The chicken in our quesadillas tasted and smelled old but she changed it and got us something else. Nice of her but disappointing in the restaurant.

Didn't come to the Baldwin Park store but are at the Peck store which was not listed. Food is good as always but really the service is bad but they still have good business.

Desiring what I consider authentic Mexican food, I selected The Guadalajara Grill. I was quickly seated and served. The Cadillac Margarita looked larger than usual and was good, however, there's never enough tequila!! I ordered the De Carne wet burrito with Mexican rice and refried beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, and sour cream; it was exactly what I was wanting!! I actually really enjoyed the Mariachi's; they were loud, but very entertaining. I'll be back.

Three of us had dinner here. The food was pretty good, not exceptional. The space was nice and I liked the casual atmosphere. The chips and salsa were better than most. Prices of food were reasonable. I thought drinks were a little high. Service was good.

Service was slow. I was not expecting much. Drink specials all night but they are full of ice so just ok deals. The food saved the night. Yes it is a little pricey but large portions and the grilled chicken salad was good. Authentic cheese and other touches made it nice.

Iâve been going to Fondaâs since they opened. My grandparents love this place. My girlfriends parents love this place. I love this place! The first thing I tried here was their Birria with some corn tortillas. Nice juicy tender meat that falls apart without difficulty. I occasionally stop by for their brunch but for the past 2 years Iâve been getting the carne asada molcajete with a side of rice and beans and corn tortillas. The molcajete comes with nopales (cactus), queso (cheese), jalapeños (you know.. that spicy chili), avocado, and carne asada (flank steak) all inside of a tomato based sauce. It comes with enough food for 2 people and it costs about $20 so itâs perfect for a small couples trip. If youâre ever in the San Gabriel valley or feel like tasting some good Mexican food then you need to make a trip to Fondaâs!
