By far the best Mexican food in Terrell. Don't let the name fool you, bar yes. But, at breakfast and lunch you would not know it. You can even call ahead and go through the drive thru if the word bar bothers you. You will not be disappointed with this place. Authentic Mexican food.
Have came about 5 times now. As with most, it's great at first, but then it got worse. Quick.Tables not cleaned, floors dirty, service not good. Sitting here now, still waiting on my food. I'm hoping they pick it back up or they'll go down fast.

We passed a Taco Mayo and as we turned around to find it, we stopped at this Taco Bueno instead. We had a combo meal with crispy tacos and enjoyed the meal. The service was fast and friendly. It shares the exit off I-20 with a Starbucks and Buc-ees. It was very clean!

I live in Terrell and have been eating at Javier's 2 to 4 times a week for 2 years. The food is very good and also very reasonable. He has a lunch and dinner special every day at a GREAT PRICE!!! The owner is very friendly and is working hard to make this restaurant a success, so the service is excellent. The menu has a good variety of Tex-Mex dishes.

Highs: Guacamole that was fresh and not straight from the chiller. Accompanying pico de gallo was equally fresh and tasty and had an extra flavor that was terrific. Salsa had nice kick. Beef tacos had good flavor too. Friendly service. Not so High: Lunch specials werenât. Same brown gravy on beef enchiladas that everyone serves. Beans had strange flavor; rice meh. Pico mentioned above had not been drained before plating and left a runny puddle on the guacamole plate. Weâre not really El Chico fans, but would go there before returning here.

Down home cooking
We weren't crazy about this place. We tried the roast beef, philly cheese steak sandwich, chicken & dumplings, catfish and chicken chimichanga. everything was just average. Not a lot of flavor. Service was not great and the restaurant had a very strong bleach odor.
