One can't expect much for a fast food breakfast, but this was awful, inedible, and simply disgusting. My seven and ten year children couldn't bear the unpalatable nature of this food. The options in the menu were like they took three or four ingredients and mixed and matched them in either your choice of flatbread, tortilla, or waffle. The eggs had an off flavor. And regarding the sausage in my daughter's burrito she stated "they look like balls of poop and the whole thing tastes like it came out of the bathroom." We threw all of it away. I wouldn't even feed it to the dogs.

Everything about this place disappointed. The dispirited hostess, the long-awaited waiter, the food, the bill. The restaurant wasn't busy, but it took a long time for someone to show up at our booth. We ordered quickly - both drinks and lunch - as we didn't have a lot of time. The warm chips and salsa were good - but down hill form there. The taco salad with shredded beef was so-so - not much spice anywhere. Guacamole tasted commercial - nothing fresh made about it. Added insult was a $1 increase over the price on the menu. When questioned, the waiter replied it was for the shredded beef - al though the menu clearly states chicken, ground beef, shredded beef, with no mention of an "up". Left unhappy and won't return.

We are in town to visit Haiti teammates. Enjoyed the mirror museum at the university. Locals directed us here to be close to our hotel. We spent two hours with delicious margaritas, chips and salsa. Ordered a cheese appetizer, the name of which I promptly forgot. It was very delicious. Pleased with our bill and tipped accordingly.

One of the best servers weâve experience. Food was very good and very reasonable. Convenient location.

Near the shopping center movie theater off Oracle. Sort of bland nachos. Not enough service persons but obviously good with locals
A great place to pop in for a quick lunch. Big menu but everyone likes the fish tacos that they are know for all over town. Small seating area.

had been avoiding SW food because I was travelling with Dad, but I was dying for a tamale. I had seen this on TripAdvisor, and went even though it was out of the way. I had the pork and green chile plate and Dad had the chicken. I think I was missing the green chile, but it still was delicious (Dad thought the chicken one was spicy), The pinto beans and Mexican slaw were both great and they have real ice tea. Good value too. If you are in the shopping mall part of town, this is a great option.Thank you so much for your feedback, Desertswim, and we're happy you went out of your way to come visit us! We're glad you enjoyed your tasty tamales, and we hope you'll visit us again the next time you're in the area.

I grew up near Santa Fe on great New Mexican food, a lot of it at hole-in-the-wall places. When I heard about Goyita's, I thought I might have found something like Tucson's delicious eastside Poco & Mom's. But lunch here was disappointing. The website warns that their chile is spicy. It wasn't. I ordered the chicken enchilada plate: flat, New Mexico-style. Right away I missed the crisp shredded lettuce and chopped tomato that usually tops a stack of enchiladas. Instead, the stack was bathed in a gritty white sauce that, I guessed, was made from flour... it detracted from whatever flavor the enchiladas had (which wasn't much). At least the beans seemed to be made in the traditional way, with lard.I was here mid-afternoon... maybe they didn't have their cook who makes lunch and dinner? I might try breakfast here when I'm headed north out of Tucson some day. Otherwise, it's back to Poco & Mom's -- which is much more what I expect from a New Mexican restaurant.PS: If you're hungry for New Mexican, Tucson has at least two Blake's Lotaburger locations. Their Lotaburgers with green chile are the same as I'd get back home... and they have the same killer breakfast burritos.

26 June '19: The margaritas were great, the guacamole good. Our main courses were a total mess, tasteless and poor quality. I counted 11 different ingredients on a huge plate, most of it uninteresting and a tiny untender piece of meat. This was not carne asada. Not recommendable. Frank

I'm surprised at the glowing reviews! Maybe we dined on an off-night? My husband and I were in Oro Valley for a week, and asked our hotel to recommend a good Mexican restaurant. We were told to try La Hacienda. They did seat us quickly, although our server was not very friendly. My husband ordered tacos and I asked for a side salad with a side of black beans and corn tortillas. The tacos were runny (lots of sauce of some kind) and he said they tasted like they used a powdered seasoning mix you get at the grocery store. They didn't look very appetizing, he didn't finish them, and it was around $12 for the plate. My salad was fine - small and very average - but was $7! The beans did not taste fresh at all and were overly salty. We've had wonderful, flavorful, fresh Mexican food at a fair price, but this was not it. We were extremely disappointed.Hello, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience. I wish you would have asked to speak with me (GM) during your visit. We take great pide in our fresh food and impecable service. I apologize that you were disappointed. My husband is the chef and he makes everything from scratch, yet I know itâs human nature to make mistakes and something could have been not quite right, which I could have addressed and fixed in the kitchen that night. I will talk to my husband and kitchen staff to ensure that freshness and flavor are met. As far as your server not being very friendly, that is a problem because again we strive for great, friendly service. Iâm disappointed myself that one of my staff members did not meet our expectations. I ask of you to please give us another chance to prove our greatness and live up to our reputation, if you travel to Oro Valley again. Thank you kindly, Lorena (the ownerâs daughter and GM)
