What a lovely little restaurant. Went on a Sunday after church. We all ordered breakfast. It was excellent and was a feast. You should not go away hungry from there.Eggs, toast, hash browns and a pancake for less than 6.00

We started with the chips and salsa. ..fresh and warm.... Delicious!Sweet tea..... Delicious...We ordered a parallita, which to me it means botana and in plain English a platter of steak and chicken, nachos, quesadillas, bolillos, also deep fried rolled up corn tortillas with chicken in them and other delicious food. On the side was rice, guacamole, peppers, jalapenos, lettuce, tomatoes and avacados. We also had frijoles alacharra (pinto beans in their own little soup.) So delicious! Plus wait.......home made tortillas! In this order you can order for 2 people, 4 people or six people. We ordered for 2 people and they serve you alot. We had left overs. My nephew who is 6 feet tall and plays college basketball ( I thought I would throw that in.)( Fear the Goat!) ordered 3 cheese enchiladas with rice and beens. When he was done with that platter he also helped himself to the botana. When the live band started at 8:00 pm, it was pretty loud and we could not hear ourselves talk. They sang great 70 s songs. So in the future when we go back, we will go earlier so we can hear ourselves talk! Thank you Mr. Ever ( Spanish name Ãevêr).....you were a fantastic server. So professional and good to get along with.

We ate here with friends and again loved the food here. The service is very good and my only objection is the lack of parking.we will definitely return here.
A few years back this used to be a great place for tacos but lately their quality and flavor has been going down hill. My biggest complain is they clean everythin including the tables and floors with a STRONG cleaner solution similar to pinesol but this one smells like perfume and it is penetrating to say the least, even the food taste like "fabuloso" cleaning solution. There plenty of better choices for tacos.
Quaint little cafe in the downtown area, parking on the street or in back. Cash only, definite hole in the wall but the portions are huge, prices are cheap and the food is very good...Had the Taco Pirata and it was a monster 8 bucks and could easily be cut into two, taken to go and eaten later.
This restaurant is one of the oldest in Mercedes Texas having been in the De La O family circa 1960. The current owner "Dalia" delights all with her traditional homemade Mexican and American food. Service is friendly in both English and Spanish. Dalia and her crew have also provided catering service for the local winter retirement parks

We have been here twice in the last month. Really like the food here. They specialize in grilled fajitas, chicken and sausages. I had the Juan's Special which was a combination of all three meats served on a sizzling platter with grilled onions, a cheese quesadilla, and a grilled jalapeño. Homemade tortillas and 3 different salsas. My wife had the grilled half chicken. Delicious!! It is located out in the country on Hwy 1015 but well worth the drive. Been in business for 18 years so that ought to tell you something.

If you know what Chili's food is... Then that is what you'll get.Allthough I remember that salads were huge, this time lettuce must be very expensive, cause they certainly cutted the amount served.Lots of new dishes (at least for me, different menu) same quality!.Service: we had great service at the beggining, but at the end, they just don't pick up the empty dishes, and they bring coffee and dessert to a messy table. Disgusting.

Planned to eat across the border in Progreso but everything shuts down around 7p. We drove by Nana's on the way to the border and noticed all the cars and festive atmosphere. Decided to take a chance and and I'm so glad we did. There's a large patio area and Friday night a duo was playing great upbeat tunes. We decided not to wait for an outdoor table and were promptly seated inside. Our table enjoyed the guacamole appetizer which was so fresh. For our meal we had the Progreso original beef tacos and the vegetarian tacos both were super tasty! You do not received the same old bowl and chips and salsa when seated, instead you are treated to individual cups of charro beans and several delicious sauces. The prices are very good and the quality of the food is outstanding.
