This place is a regular lunch stop for me. The food is cooked to order. Over the years the ownership has changed and with those changes the ethnic focus also changed. But not completely-- there are still Mediterranean and Cal-Mex dishes on the menu from earlier incarnations. I've only had good food here.
this is a hole in the wall, but offers inexpensive good mexican good....it is just fastfood tables, but friendly staff--the place is crowded but there is outdoor seating...

We enjoyed the variety of food at this Sunday Brunch Buffet: chicken taquitos, and sea food cevish. We especially liked the taco, burrito and quesadilla bar where you could have chicken, pork or beef added along with vegetables to these dishes. Unlimited glasses of champagne were served while you ate. There was so much food we couldn't sample everything. There was also tortilla soup, fresh fruit and desserts. We both loved the Bananas Foster served with vanilla custard, ice cream, and whipped cream. Parking wasn't a problem.

We are proud to serve our customers with the same authentic family recipes that have been local favorites for years. Our Mexican restaurant is more than just a bar and grill to grab dinner at. We provide a fun and laid back environment that makes us the p
I have been eating at Marieta's in La Mesa once a week for many years now. Their food is exceptional and their prices are very reasonable. It's a great place to meet friends for dinner or for a special occasion. They can also accommodate large parties in a private room. They have great margaritas and have a full bar.

Mario's is situated in an old house near downtown La Mesa, California. There are 3 small dining rooms and an outdoor patio. They do have a small parking lot in back but if that is full the street parking places in the area are usually all taken. The tables and booths are very close together and the day I was there for lunch on a Saturday almost all of them were occupied. The female servers were all very pleasant and they were dressed in Mexican attire. The menu has the usual Mexican Entrees and they have beer and wine. I had the homemade chile rellano with rice and beans. It wasn't that good since the cheese wasn't melted and the chile was hard to cut even with a knife. If I ever go back I will order something else.

Here at Ranas we offer authentic Mexico City dishes and dishes from the central region of Mexico. We are family owned and operated since 2004.
Sometimes finding a neighborhood restaurant with savory dishes, excellent choices, and great prices that has polite, professional and helpful servers can be seen as a blessing. At Ranas you have all of this in addition to a very clean, safe and friendly environment that is well managed and out performs most other restaurants for a really good and filling breakfast. As well as many mores breakfast's, I intend to enjoy lunch and dinner there for years to come. When you are lucky enough to find a perfect spot that brings you great pleasure, enjoy it as often as you can because memories are just not nourishing enough should opportunities to visit ever end.

At Casa de Pico in La Mesa, guests can enjoy outdoor patio dining year-round, surrounded by trees, colorful flowers and splashing fountains. Rounding out the Mexican dining experience are the strolling mariachis and famous award-winning giant margaritas.
We met our local friends who highly recommended this restaurant to satisfy our craving for good Mexican food and it lived up to our high expectations. We had to wait for about 20 minutes to be seated for dinner but once we were in, we had great service. Our orders were brought out very quickly and all the food tasted so much better than any Mexican restaurant on the east coast. The margaritas were some of the largest sizes we had ever seen and the food proportions were also on the large side. I don't think anyone in our party were able to finish their plates and we gave all our leftovers to our local friends. I look forward to visiting this place again on our next visit.
