We wandered in here at about 9 p.m. and were welcomed warmly. We ate light; the house special flautas and a quesdilla con crema, both excellent. Enjoyed the wood-carved Mexican scenes on the furnishings that show a commitment to style and culture. Judging by the other patrons, it's a local favorite place.

Stopped for lunch. Good sized menu with lots of choices. The food tasted very bland to me and needed more spice or ?. I was not offered a choice of beans-came with refried. Tamales were only offered in pork. The service was fast and friendly. Full bar and good sized Margaritas. Prices are the same as others in area.

The Mexican Food here is authentic, delicious, and portions are far too generous. The home made guacamole, more made tortillas, and pork were all well favored. We found this while wandering around waiting for our Tesla to be charged next door. This was a great find, and we came back again and again.

Family Owned and operated with authentic recipes from Mexico! Amazing atmosphere that will make you feel like you our south of the Border! Delicious food and oh those margaritas!
Our Thursday evening visit here was great for food and service. However, the Mariachi band was unnecessarily loud, to the point that while they were playing anywhere in the restaurant, it was virtually impossible to carry on a coversation. The trumpet player pounded out the music like he was playing in a concert theatre. This made our visit less than enjoyable.I noticed a patron who was leaving after his meal, give the middle finger to the band. I guess he felt the same way that we did.

We love this place. Every time we go we have the very best service and the very best food, whatever we order.Today, we arrived around 10:30 and went for their breakfast menu. I had Chilaquiles with salsa verde with eggs over easy. I licked the plate, really. My wife had a bacon omelette with two cheeses, home fries and beans. That was good, too. Real good. But thereâs more: I had a Mexican style Oyster Shooter. A raw oyster on the half shell with an incredible fresh salsa. I think I ate the shell. That was Oyster Preparada. Perfect.Doesnât get any better.

Met Andrew Mgr. when he talks food he makes your mouth water and you can't wait to eat it. As a Chef I can tell you it is good!he recommend the shrimp stuffed yellow chilies with mayo lemon soy sauce, sounds strange I know but WOW it was fantastic. Next the grilled fish tacos yum the best, and there beans ( Peruvian ) are amazing. The best Churros I have ever had.Great happy hour,Ashlely the bartender makes a mean Margarita.

We visited Indio, California for a few days in November. We arrived close to midnite. On the way back to the airport, we were thinking about eating something lite. Our google search found Tacos Gonzales and we decided to venture there. We had tacos only, pastor, carne asada and chorizo. They are served in fresh, small size corn tortillas topped with onion and cilantro. Each bite was a trip to heaven and back. The staff was extremely professional and friendly. The waiting time was minimal. The next morning, before heading to Joshua Tree National park we made another stop for late breakfast. This time, my picky eater, fast food-eating 10 year old was hungry and ordered chicken tacos (no onion). The expression on his face was priceless after he took the first bite.He then started asking for Tacos Gonzales for every single meal until the day we left.I highly recommend you try this place, but warn you that it may be a little addictive.

Macario's is a little out of the way and lacks great curb appeal but don't let that stop you from dropping in for a meal. While there are many typical American Mexican dishes (fajitas and so on) the menu does have many traditional dishes which are worth trying. The portions are huge (a large bowl of tortilla soup and a platter were way too much for me), the prices cheap and the service excellent. We have been here a number of times and have yet to be disappointed. Watch for the daily specials which on Saturdays includes their margaritas.

On business we asked where an authentic Mexican restaurant might be. They said Pueblo Viejo of course. Well they were so right. From the moment you walk in you just know you could go for lunch and leave after dinner. The cozy layout of the floor was inviting. The staff was engaging and the food and drink was, well almost perfect! Wonderful Mexican restaurant!
