As you are driving southbound on Skokie Valley Rd., you find that there is good access to Taco Bell, though if you are heading north, it is a bit more challenging. The food is consistent and average Taco Bell menu. Everything that we had was as it should have been. The staff was friendly.

Tasty food and reasonable prices. The owners have lots of restaurant experience. Mrs. Sepulueda is part of the Tacos-el-Norte family and Mr. Sepulueda brings recipes from his home state of Michoacan (in western Mexico). Fish tacos are available, although not on the menu.Be careful in the small, pot-holed parking lot.

Because they supply their nearby restaurants, everything here is fresh and delicious due to the fast turnover. This is a grocery store, meat market, juice bar, bakery, deli, Mexican restaurant, ice cream/gelateria, etc. all rolled into one.I suggest that you reconnoiter the store first to see how many departments and shopping possibilities there are.All the baked goods and desserts (flan, etc.) are made in house. The dense cheesecake is a real winner! The juice bar features at least 20 choices -- fairly priced at $3 for the 16 oz. size, and $6 for 32 oz.. I usually order the detox or the green joy, both great!Horchata and lemonade are available in dispensers near checkout. For eating in, there is a dining area with a few tables, and a counter with a few stools. The current special is 99-cent tacos on Wednesday. The menu is huge. The deli (and restaurants) are closed for Shabbat (Friday night to Saturday night) and for all Jewish holidays.street parking

Nestled on Central Avenue in Downtown Highland Park is Tamales Mexican Restaurant. Tamales is famous for having some of the best Mexican Food and Margaritas on the North Shore. The ingredients are always fresh, well-prepared and uniquely presented. The at
Must admit, Iâm a huge chips and salsa girl. Thin, warm and crunchy chips along with freshly made, filled with finely chopped tomato-onion and Iâm in salsa heaven! Add some outdoor (streetwise) seating to enjoy the gorgeous summer day and whatâs to complain about?! I usually get my faves. salads or fajitas here, but everything looks tasty and made with care! The indoor has a bit of an authentic style and isnât huge but on a crowded night, you wouldnât call it âspacious!â Great for round table group of 6-8!
There is free two-hour parking on both sides of Sheridan Road, south of Washington.STREET PARKING ONLY. The spaces behind the restaurant belong to another property. After winning Highwood's North Shore Taco Fest for two years, and catering for many satisfied customers, Jorge Blancas decided to open this restaurant. The grand opening was last month. This is a small place -- 12 or so stools at two parallel counters -- with a chalkboard menu at the register; cold drinks (Mundel, Jarritos, Boing, Coke, Petal, etc.) in the refrigerated case; one unisex restroom; and did I mention it -- STREET PARKING ONLY.They offer three side sauces (green, avocado, and red) and the usual row of grease-stained bags of chips. The guacamole is quite good.

The food here is amazing! We just returned from Mexico. We strongly feel that Casa de Issac had better more authentic food. The service is great too. We try to eat there at least twice a month. The owner is a great guy and you can often find him there working. If you visit and find it full try the Highland Park location. It's just as good!

Canât say enough about how juicy and tender the chicken was.... among the best I have eaten anywhere. Sauces were varied and some better than others but the variety was appreciated. Sides were not impressive.... fries were crinkle cut like you buy by the ton at Costco, macaroni and cheese had an off taste, noted first by the kids and confirmed by the adults, the corn muffins were ok and the veggies probably the best of the lot.Two whole chickens were more than enough for five adults and 3 kids and there were leftovers.... I would return!
