Great tacos de barbacoa (roasted beef cheek / head meat). I got six to go, with a serve-yourself area of mexican condiments (cilantro, chile, chopped onions, tomatillo sauce, and little wedges of lime, etc.) with little go containers available. I don't know if their name means anything but their family name, but my Spanish to English translation for Apatzingan is "damn good".

We could not miss arriving for dinner while a mariachi band played their hearts out in the bar. Our dinner was prompt though they were very busy and our food was good! Service was friendly. We enjoyed it a lot.

It’s actually called “La Colima’s Restaurante”, and if you want good Mexican food you should go! It’s very convenient to the I-82 Sunnyside exit 69, where we stayed at the Best Western (about 2 miles away). Once you exit, you’ll see many places to stop and eat, in strip malls etc. along the Yakima Valley Highway, but keep going to this little stand-alone building where you’ll get excellent Mexican food! The salsa is awesome and the mole was as well. I usually avoid the beans and rice, but it was the only way to get the mole chicken and I went with the combo – these beans were delicious and I ate them all!! (And most of the rice too.) The atmosphere is nothing special, but the food is good.

Everything was a bit too salty. Otherwise everything was really good. We had the enchiladas, the Chile verde and a burrito supreme. The burrito supreme was large enough for two meals but it was supposed to come with guacamole and only can with avocado. They even gave us chips and salsa for our takeout order.

El Valle Family Restaurant

It is at the end of the parking lot at the Rodeway Inn. That was very convenient staying there. The service was good and the food was average for a Mexican restaurant. The servings were adequate but not huge. The food had good flavor but the best part was the spicier of the two salsas. It was great. It was spicy but not too hot and the flavor was wonderful. I certainly can't complain about the meal. The rice, beans and enchiladas were sort of average among Mexican restaurants. I would go back sometime.

The food is standard Taco Bell fare, usually served hot and tasty. Counter service is always friendly, but wait times to get food are longer than expected if eating-in. I think they focus on drive-through traffic first. The building is in need of overhaul. Table are chipped. Floors get dirty easily. The bathrooms leave much to be desired. Walls have been painted, but highlight colors on trim is streaked on the wall.In summary, the food is fine and cheap, but service is slow and you will need to clean your own table.

We were dead tired after riding on the motorcycle all day and this restaurant was within walking distance of our hotel. Very welcoming manager/owner and his pre-teen age son helping serve. Not much on atmosphere but made it up in quality of the food.

With the exception of very nice staff, overall, I was disappointed with the food. We ordered the margaritas, which were bland and tart. I had a burrito, which was certainly generous in size, but it was luke warm and not very flavorful. On the plus side, the restaurant made a mistake on the dinner for my friend, and they cooked a fresh one and did not charge her for her meal. It would be nice if the restaurant looked at using bio-degradable straws for their drinks.
