It's really hard to find true interior Mexican food in the U.S. Generally you find some U.S. regional interpretation that bears little resemblance to cuisine you find in Mexico unless you're at a resort catering to tourist. El Pollo Dorado is truly authentic. I chose the fresh corn tortillas, one with pulled chicken, another with Mexican style pulled pork served with traditional garnish of onions, cilantro & lime. I also had a gordita stuffed with pulled chicken. El Pollo Dorado makes their own salsas which are superb. The food prices are quite reasonable. This is a small trailer with several outdoor tables run by a lovely couple in parking lot of a Putt Putt golf course. Highly recommended for someone looking for something other than Tex-Mex and Pace Picante sauce.

Please don't. The margaritas are pure sugar diabetes in a glass. No thought put into these. The chips are thick, hard, and unenjoyable. We decided not to delve further into the food and instead left. Bathrooms were disgusting. One friendly, happy, but harried waitress and several unhappy customers.

We arrived early before the crowd. Within 30 minutes the place was packed. Service was very good. Food arrived timely. Complimentary chips and salsa. We had a table by the window. Food is reasonable for a resort town. Fajitas were delicious. Side rice and beans were tasty.

Thorâs Grill features tasty southwestern/Mexican-style food made fresh behind the counter while you order. Menu items can be customized with additional condiments, preference of beans, hard or soft taco shells, and/or different proteins, etc.Portions are quite large, and most menu items are served with extra tortilla chips. The food here is much better than similar chain restaurants offering a comparable menu and dining concept.Drinks are self serve, next to a salsa bar which features fresh salsas and additional condiments, along with a nice selection of bottled hot sauces.The atmosphere is super casual, with some outside seating available where dogs are welcome on a leash while you dine.Bottom line: Thorâs Grill offers good food at a fair price in a casual setting. We will surely eat here again.

Mexican restaurant walking distance from Glenwood Springs Hot Spring pool, train station. Family owned restaurant. We ordered combo fajitas , and Guarache (he substituted marinated pork for the beef. Very large portions. Served with a cabbage salsa, traditional salsa , Fresh guacamole bean and rice. House Margaretta very good Prices 10-20 depending on what you order. On site parking, which is hard to find in this area

This was recommended by our hotel (first time ever had terrible food that was hotel recommended). The restaurant was not crowded (first red flag), had to battle flies while eating (2nd red flag) and our main course was ready about 5 minutes after ordering (3rd red flag). The chips, salsa and cabbage were the best part of dinner. Our waiter was missing in action after delivering our food, no refills on drinks, no asking if food was ok, anything additional needed. The carnitas puerco was not hot when served, tasteless and tough. Would NOT recommend.
