Find out what Mexican restaurants to try in Frankfort. The city of Frankfort has a long and torturous history. First settled in 1786, the city has survived a failed attempt to make Kentucky a part of the Spanish Empire, an occupation by the Confederate Army, disastrous fires, and flooding from the Kentucky River. This exciting past has left the capital city full of historic sites, museums, and restored mansions. Visit the bourbon warehouses at the Buffalo Trace Distillery or explore the beautiful Bluegrass Hills at the Buckley Wildlife Sanctuary.

My Guadalajra offers a varied menu of very good Mexican fare and drinks. My wife had a chicken enchilada while I opted for a vegetarian dish comprised of a chalupa, cheese enchilada, and refried beans. Since it was happy hour, I also ordered a 16-ounce margarita. Everything was tasty and hot (except for the frozen margarita, which was very good). I've been to My Guadalajara several times and have always enjoyed the atmosphere, courteous service, and clean surroundings.

Chili's as a chain certainly has seemed to slip in customer service and even in menu over the past few years, and I'd heard they were going to "get back to the basics" - well, they are, at least in Frankfort KY....it's the wonderful, welcoming, warm experience that made us all love Chili's in the first place....the bartender/waitress was superb on 11/29 at around 5pm (sorry I can't recall her name for sure, but think it was Renee)...the most cheerful and attentive person ever, even though she had the bar, the bar floor, and some section outside the bar to wait....she was funny and engaging....and the manager actually stopped by our table and stayed to talk, instead of a perfunctory "how's it going?"....the food was excellent.....we couldn't have been more delighted with what has always been one of our favorite places to eat while traveling.....thanks Chili's Frankfort - you're doing it right!

I have eaten at Arandas many times and in my opinion it s one of the best Mexican restaurants in Frankfort. It has never been a disappointment.

they have changed their menu (no extra charge for guacamole), but some prices are a little higher. I recommend ordering off the kids menu if you don't need adult portions b/c its so cheap but still delicious and filling (for me). I recommend getting the kids nachos with the chips on the side (more toppings that way :)

Ordered the potato skins, a cheese enchilada and peach margarita. The margarita tasted more like lime than peach. The cheese enchilada had so hot a sauce on it I didnât eat but one bite. The potato skins have hamburger on them, which didnât taste very good to me. Disappointing meal all in all. The waitress was great, service is pretty quick, priced reasonably.
Tacos and Tortas (TTs) is Frankforts newest spot for outstanding and authentic Mexican street Tacos, sandwiches and more. Owned by the Garcia family of Mexican restaurants, TTs uses only fresh ingredients. Whats a torta? Its a mexican style sandwich, serv
My husband and I gave the restaurant a while after opening to work out their kinks before making our first visit. The ordering and salsa bar experience were amazing. Great service, happy workers, and delicious array of salsas. When we got our food...we were so disappointed. The chicken taco was the only edible one and it was bland. The steak was full of gristle and had a bad flavor (kind of like a dirty animal). The pork that my husband had also had no flavor but was edible. Overall, I was so disappointed in the actual food that even the great experience with workers and environment couldn't compensate.

The good: service was prompt and courteous, the food came out as ordered- hot and good size portions. The not so good: there were several loud and foul mouthed drunks at the bar arguing over the basket ball game. My wife wanted to linger a little longer after we finished, but we hurried through our meal. The woman in the next booth with the two young children left quicker. Management nor the bar staff appeared to do anything to calm the raucous down.If we'd wanted a loud unruly crowd we'd have gone to a sports bar.If we go back, we'll most definitely ask to be seated away from the bar.

We eat at Casa Fiesta almost weekly. The food is served quickly and fresh by the most friendly staff you will ever meet. They have a great selection of meals on the menu and absolutely the best Margarita you will find. The owners and staff of Casa Fiesta treat everyone like family. It's a must try!

Pollo Bandido--a BBQ joint that does everything but "mask" flavor! Open for lunch, and dinner, Pollo Bandido offers everything from 1/2 racks or ribs to Full BBQ Rotisserie Chicken! Find us on the corner of Lewis and Main St., right across from First Fede
This is a tiny little place in the heart of downtown but it packs a huge punch to your taste buds with the ribs and all the sides. There are several sauces to choose from and all are delicious, the ribs fall off the bone and the staff are friendly and helpful!

Next time u walk into your local restaurant, ask them. How fresh their meat, vegetables, and ingredients are. If their own staff not does not know the quality of the ingredients then more than likely the ingredients are frozen or pre-packaged, definitely
Visiting from Canada and after a full day of tours at Woodford Reserve and Buffalo Trace, we were hungry. We always consider the #1 restaurant on Trip Advisor and although we were thinking BBQ for the night, we had to try Garciaâs because of their rating. Excellent service right from the start and an expansive menu to choose from. I chose the Molcajete and my wife chose the Enchilada, and happy to report they were both outstanding. Mine was big enough to split between the two of us and it took the two of us to finish it off. Finished the meal with an ice cream filled tortilla which was really good as well. Only request to the chef would be to leave the lettuce off the plate for the guacamole and sour cream. Not needed. Would definitely eat here again if ever in town.
