Maize is a good, but not great, Mexican option. The atmosphere is good, but the food is not as good as Dos Reales (or, for example, someplace like Cancun Grill in Miami). Our food came in stages (one person received her plate long after the others at the table were served). Everyone at the table had dinner portions, which were fairly priced, but not inexpensive. My guess is that the total bill was about double the same items at Dos. The individual portions (essentially, a la carte) on the menu were more reasonable. I'd go back, but the rave reviews are not deserved.

My wife & I ate at their nice outdoor patio tonight & we had an execellent dining experience. Our server, Emily, was a very personable & attractive server who went out of her way to provide amazing service to us! My wife had a great salad while I had the very tasty chicken quesadillas. In addition we had the huge & tasty chips & salsa appetizer, which was so large that we got half if it's take-out. In summary, Emily made our dining experience very memorable as we will certainly be back soon!!

we enjoyed having a different choice for breakfast with family gathering from at least 3 states. I don't normally have anything with a kick in it for breakfast but I'm sure glad I said "I'll have what she's having" (cousin Ann) - not sure exactly what it was but it was delicious and the wait staff were not only very friendly but very accomodating to our 20 plus group. Thank you cousin Jan for the choice and thank you El Toro for making the last meal of our reunion memorable.

This restaurant offers a wide variety of pretty authentic Mexican food. You get a plate of very hot food, prepared as you order. The service is good. The location is easy to get in and out. Ample parking. Better than most Mexican restaurants in the Midwest.

We visited here on a work trip. Great trip advisor reviews. Arrived. Very busy. Great atmosphere. Nice servers. Food (the important thing!) was ok. It arrived insanely fast (which is always a worry in my opinion). My colleagues had huge portions and their food looked ok. There menu had lots of veggie options. Which is great. I opted for the first veggie combo. Which from memory was a bean burrito, a cheese quesadilla/enchilada and something else. Option 1 or A. I canât recall. The first one! What arrived was worrying. I feel bad saying this but it looked like a plate of prison slop. I couldnât work out where the enchilada stopped and the burrito started. A sea of refried beans, covered with iceberg lettuce, what looked like a lost tortilla wrap under the beans and next to it some melted cheese and it was like a game of find the wrap. On top of what I can only guess was the cheese enchilada/quesadilla. Covering all that was some bright orange liquid. Check out my photo for the full story. Everyone else food looked ok. Mine however did not. Give it a try but avoid the first veggie option!

Looking for for a reasonable priced food. Quick service. Not a lot of seating inside, but definitely worth the visit.
