I joined a group of 10 coworkers for dinner. We enjoyed nachos, guacamole and salsa as an appetizer. Each time that the chips were low, there were more on the way. I enjoyed the chicken fajitas, which were delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food. We will be back again!

El Cholo has been an institution in Los Angeles for a very long time, and this location is the Newport Beach El Cholo on PCH. Good Mexican food, not spectacular.

We are local little spots that have became one of Orange County's favorites for elevated comfort food. We are just-off-the-beaten-path restaurants that are low key yet deliver a BIG gastronomical punch with our dishes that combine American comfort food wi
One food adventurer and one less so wandered into this place just off of Newport Blvd on 18th street. They had something for both of us at breakfast, I had the "Fried Egg" and expected the items to come deconstructed on the plate...nope they were stacked but it was good. My friend had regular food and the potatoes looked sort of bland being so lightly cooked. I would go again and try some other items on the menu. Keep up the good cooking and pleasant service. Think about adding some sound proofing on the ceiling please.

Great portions. Excellent never ending Charro beans. The tortillas were like homemade. Plenty of lobster. Brought some home. Great prompt service

This quaint restaurant was amazing. the tacos, burritos and salads were so good. Who knew this wonderful restaurant was in the middle of Balboa Island. it does pay to walk around and check out who is eating where. we will definitely be back on our next trip to Newport Beach. You know a place is good when the locals eat there too.

Much more than your typical Mexican joint with high prices. The foos is very well done and atmosphere is great for a nice evening out.

We had a great casual dinner here, and although the wait to be seated in the restaurant was over an hour, we seated ourselves right away in the large bar area (with teenagers) The sevice was prompt, we started with guac (that could have used more seasoning and delicious roasted corn (the best dish of the night!) Thee fish tacos were very good and the portions were large. The music in the bar was good but quite loud, not allowing for conversation.
