My husband & I went in for dinner at 7:15 on a Tuesday evening. Most of the tables were dirty with dishes, we finally found a table that was clear. We waited for over 5 minutes before anyone approached us even though a waitress passed us several times. They only had 1 menu for us! We finally got some drinks, the water was tap water, the salsa was good with the chips. We ordered Fajitas and they had absolutely NO flavor.

I ordered chili rellanos con carne. The portion size of the entrée is small. The salsa bar is nice. The free chip size is small, but they give you extra if you ask. Good taste.

Dinner for four at La Carreta. The interior of the restaurant is charmingly Mexican in feel and the quality of the food was excellent, most notably the Fajitas and the salads. Service was polite and efficient and the bill for four was just $75 including sodas.....no alcohol......so terrific value for money.

Basically a giant mexican buffet. It's not wonderful, but not bad either. I imagine it's hard to have a big selection like that and keep it fresh all day. Clean, nice people, good service. Decorated fun, reminds me of when we used to go to Mexico all the time.

The food is good - not the best ever but definitely not the worst - I rather enjoy it personally. Their salsa is my favorite, and the guacamole is very good. Portion sizes are very generous and the prices are outstanding. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff.
