We visited this restaurant 3 times before writing a review. Lunch twice was fine - portions were nice, food was fresh. We are not big fans of an open salsa bar, and the bean dip provided has been luke warm each time. Now on to dinner:We arrived at 5:30PM and were seated promptly. A young man approached to take our drink orders, "It's Happy Hour, right?" we asked. "Yes" he replied. I ordered a draft beer (was offered a 24-ounce draft....but ordered the smaller version). Husband ordered a Happy Hour marguerita - "small, medium or large?" said the young man. My husband ordered medium. Our dinner orders arrived almost immediately - burrito plate for him, fajita salad for me. But alas - no silverware. A waitress walked by and we asked for silverware and she disappeared. We flagged down another employee and asked for silverware and it finally arrived. When finished, we requested the check. Surprise!!! The "Happy Hour Margarita" was $8.99! We asked the young man about the price, and he said it was the 28-oz "medium" size. Seriously, there is NO WAY this was 28 ounces. It was a pretty glass with a few grains of salt, and filled to the top with ice. Evidently, the Margarita liquid is poured over the ice and somehow that is supposed to equal 28 ounces. Instead of a margarita with ice, it was ice with a margarita. There was no evidence of a lime slice or wedge anywhere. My husband would NEVER have ordered a 28-ounce drink, anywhere. It was a complete bait-and-switch tactic, with the young man just shrugging his shoulders, and our waitress was never to be seen again. We left, feeling like fools. Be forwarned - the food is fine, the customer service is terrible and the "happy hour" is certainly mis-named. We will not be returning.
Popped in for some lunch before heading back to the UKGreat food and serviceThe restaurant was busy but this did not slow the serviceThe only negative was the cost of the small bowl of cheese dip Otherwise all good value Showing they are award wining for another year

I finally made it to a Chipotle. Almost everyone I know that has eaten at Moe's and Chipotle day they like Chipotle better. I did not come to the same conclusion. The food was good. I have no complaint about flavor, but I can't believe the guacamole cost around $2!!!!!!! WHAT IN THE WORLD PEOPLE!Seriously?! I wanted some guacamole on my bowl and they told me it would cost extra! I get it if I'm ordering a side of guac for my chips or something, but it should NEVER cost to have put in your burrito or on your bowl meal, etc. Bad form Chipotle. You lost me with this excessive charge. And the ultimate reason I will continue to go to Moe's instead. . . even more important then the ridiculous charge for guacamole is that they don't have queso Oh how I love queso! And you Chipotle don't have queso!

I had chicken & cheese-stuffed poblano chilies with rice & beans, and it was wonderful. The margarita that I enjoyed was even better (best I've had in ages!). My husband had a combination plate, and he said his food was delicious, too. Our food came out quickly, and we had great service up until it was time to pay the bill--and then we waited a long time for the ticket and the return of our credit card. All in all, though, it was a yummy experience.

This is far superior to your average Mexican restaurant in the area. You know the ones that all taste the same and basically have the same menu. This is much better, go here.

Really enjoyed our lunch. The lunch special menu is served 7 days a week. I had the burrito, tamale and beans for less than 7 dollars. The salsa bar is diverse and every sauce I tried was delicious. Our new favorite Mexican in Anderson!

We love El Jimador because the food is so fresh and well prepared. Help staff is quick and attentive. Chili rellenos and huge burritos are especially good, when full of chunks of tender beef. The beans are a bit too mushy but rice is super good. They prepare the big guacamole salad at your tableâso fresh. And the decor is delightful.

If you are seeking authentic Latin American food in the Upstate, you should visit Taqueria El Guiri-Guiri! They have a large selection of dishes including some not typically found at the larger Mexican restaurants in the area-such as tripe. Most of the menu was intimidating to me due to my limited knowledge of Spanish. The most common Mexican dishes-tacos, tostadas, burritos, enchiladas and tamales are found on their menu. Taqueria El Guiri-Guir is impressive by the number of ingredients that seemed homemade and fresh. The guacamole is outstanding with large chunks of avocado and bits of cilantro! Several sauces seem to be made in house and were delicious-especially the Chipotle Sauce. The dining room contains less than a dozen tables and starkly decorated. Any shortage in ambience is certainly made up by the food quality!

I have eaten at their other location in Anderson several times and have always enjoyed to the food and quick service. However this place is a real disappointment. It is hard to believe it is the same company. My cheese chili relleno arrive without any cheese. The rest of the meal was mediocre at best.
