Reviews on Mexican food in Abilene, Texas, United States. Abilene boasts a proud military history, having been home once to a U.S. Army base and later a U.S. Air Force base, which remains its primary employer. The city boasts numerous green spaces as well as an impressive zoo representing hundreds of species of animals. Look around and there is always something to do, with two annual rodeos, several outdoor festivals and conferences throughout the year.

Nice atmosphere. Great food! Friendly staff. We had the beef enchiladas, and the cheese enchiladas with tacos. Everything was delicious! Including the Spanish rice and refried beans. The chips and salsa and their bowl of guacamole were all good too. We were pleased and had a nice date night. This restaurant was voted the number one lunch site by the business community, so we thought we would check it out and weâre glad we did.

Farolito's is located in a quiet part of Abilene. The building and eating area reflect much character and history...this is a long established Abilene landmark restaurant. Thje wait staff is prompt, friendly and fast. The menu has an abundance of items plus the specials. I like the menu because it has options for tacos and enchalada ala carte for a very reasonable price. The others at my table ordered a variety of menu items. All prepared to perfection and served pipping hot. Evrything tasted great as did the fresh chips and salsa. This may become our new go to place for Mexican food.

We try to swing by here as often as we can when we are in the mood for breakfast tacos. You won't be disappointed.

Not impressed at all. Had heard a lot about Fuzzys & was hoping for much better food presentation. Fajita Chicken Fiesta Bowl came out in a small metal mixing bowl. Really? Chicken had no flavor & there was more rice than other ingredients. Tried the special which was Mango Salsa Mahi Taco. No flavor!Pork tacos were very bland as well. Prices really donât seem inline with what you get. Service is good.Patio is nice, frosted beer mugs, but tap beer not that cold.

Meal was excellent, tasty, well prepared, served hot and promptly. This is real Mexican food prepared in the traditional ways by a family with Mexican heritage. Highly recommend this place. Its a little hard to find, behind a convenience store, but it is well worth the effort. Try it and you will come back again.

El chico is a fun casual dining Restaurant. W are known from our made from scratch margaritas, enchiladas, quesadillas, to our Top Shelf Guacamole made fresh at the table, Top shelf quesadillas , and amazing hot sizzling fajitas served with fresh tortilla
My husband and I ate lunch at El Chico for he first time in a long time. Our server, Jason, was friendly and attentive. The food came out hot and was served quickly. The fajitas were so-so. The tortillas were smaller than expected and a little overcooked. The beef enchiladas with con carne sauce were delicious. The sopapillas were great. Jason even brought us an extra one. Overall, the experience was good, but my husband was disappointed in the fajitas. We would definitely eat there again. My name is Cesar Rangel, I am the General Manager for El Chico, I want to thank you for your great review. We cannot wait to serve you again in the near future!!!Thank you,Cesar Rangel

Average but popular. Great chips and salsa. Server looked like she hated being there and was not friendly. Maybe a bad day. Food took forever for beef and shrimp fajitas. Probably 45 minutes. Not too impressed with the plate. Meat was tender. Shrimp looked boiled not grilled. Home made tortillas nice. Iâm sure itâs good for Abilene. I wonât go back. Iâll try somewhere else. I think they want to be too âfancyâ or creative? Thatâs the vibe I got. I prefer the barely speak English and my mom makes the food type of place.

Rosa's Cafe is an upscale, fast-casual restaurant concept. Boasting the attributes of most full-service, sit-down Mexican food restaurants, Rosa's Cafe is unique in having an express drive-thru window to complement their authentic and colorful interior de
We lived in Abilene for years and now when we go back, this is one of the first places my daughter has to go!! HOMEMADE TORTILLAS! That's the best part of it all... but the food is very good! I would make it a "go to" if you're in Abilene.
