My wife and I had a fantastic mini adventure from Melbourne for a wonderful meal at Ragusa Republika in Williamstown. We were holidaying in Melbourne for an extended weekend and followed our noses to historical Williamstown - approx. 30 min train ride from Flinders St Station.After a leisurely walk from the station we found ourselves on the waterfront (Nelson Place) and chose to stop at Ragusa for lunch as it looked warm, inviting and had a few tables free.Having no experience with Croatian cuisine we allowed our very friendly waitress to order for us and we were not disappointed at all.....especially the calamari entree, it was to die for.We finished lunch with a delightful desert and an excellent coffee.Ragusa Republic is definitely a soft we will visit again.Thank you

Looking for a new Italian in the city we went here based on Trip Advisor's positive reviews.Good looking room that is deceiving from the outside. Light wood and well spaced tables made it a comfortable space.Ordered Rocket & pear salad, Salmon Caserecce pasta and Salumi pizza. Salad and pizza were excellent and good portions. Quality ingredients on all. The pizza base was just right and stayed crispy in the middle unlike many wood fired pizzas were you end up with a soggy middle. My partner enjoyed the Caserecce but found the portion size a bit small commenting that I would still be hungry had I ordered it. Had a good Valpolicella Ripasso to go with it. $130 for the meal with wine being half of the bill.Service was excellent - prompt, friendly, not pretentious or hovering.Worth noting the pasta prices at Da Guido 365 are less than their location in Lygon street.Open for lunch and dinner but closed from 3-6 in the afternoon.Very much enjoyed this meal and will be back ourselves and with friends.

Disappointing. Upon arrival we ordered some drinks. All were warm and had to ask for some ice to include.We ordered the feast platter for 2. We received 3 prawns, 1 piece of lamb i've always in other restaurants received items divisible by two when ordering for 2! the chicken and beef were dry... some of the beef was over cooked to the extent it was black.We then ordered two cokes....they sat at the bar for ten minutes and it wasn't until I asked the waitress we had oredered two cokes that the drinks arrived...guess what no ice, warm and flat.The Greek salad was average to say the least and no cheese. The fried saganaki was really suitable for 1... such a thin slice!The the desert arrived, great way to end a meal... one portion was rubbery and other dry...no syrup included. As for my other friends they ordered the combination and a side of chips.The chips never arrived. their meat was also dry and over cooked.There were no prawns.Both mains took 1 hour to arrive.The 6 of us will not be returningHi very sorry to hear this can you tell me what day/night you dined with us? Second time here and the food is even better. Pumpkin, egg, bacon, avocado, dukkah, yoghurt and hummus. Loved all the tastes. Hope itâs still on the menu the next time Iâm here.

Best way to describe staff, in particular the waitress and the older waiter! Huffing and puffing and rudely asking for help to make space on the tables for platters before "their hand breaks!" Such a shame as food is lovely but with that condescending attitude, WE ARE NOT RETURNING!We are very sorry to hear your experience. We booked at this restaurant via First table where one gets 50% of all food items (not alcohol).We started with the brushetta pizza.For mains I chose the Rib Eye on the Bone and my wife the Veal Dish.Not only did we pay half price, but the meals were huge. My wife and I took some home as we couldn't finnish the meal.Service from our young male servers couldn't be faulted.

Easy to locate on the Williamstown waterfront precinct, a great Italian meal was enjoyed.Pizzas are generous size, crispy base & interesting toppings. If youâre a small eater, sharing would be best! Friendly staff. Quick but not pushy service. Food fresh. Plenty of menu choice & childrenâs menu.

Wow, we had an amazing lunch here. We had a sampler menu consisting of 4 choices of Tapas (we chose the Paella balls, Meatballs, Chicken Sliders and Calamari sliders) and 2 choices of the Share plates (we chose the Loaded Bravas and Donkey wings). The Bravas are cubed potatoes fried with capsicum, onion and 4 different meats in a gravy. They were beautiful and a really good portion to share. Both sliders were so tasty and the calamari was cooked to perfection. I would have to say the best meal we had were the donkey wings (chicken wings in El Burro's 'donkey sauce'). They were the crispiest chicken wings I have ever eaten and a lovely flavour. The prices are typical of Williamstown restaurants so no surprises there. Hubby and I bought a Scoopon deal and that was great value for money. Overall, a great restaurant and excellent food. We will definitely be back.

Visited for Sunday lunch with 4 adults and a toddler. Felt very welcome and the venue looks and feels great. Shared 6 entree plates and thoroughly enjoyed the whole lunch. Fantastic pita bread, nice dips, great saganaki on a sizzling plate, lovely fries and fetta, good calamari and fabulous eggplant. Then shared a delicious orange cake with marscaponi and icecream and great Greek coffee. This is the real Greek deal. Will return for a more formal meal. Highly recommended.
