The best octopus this side of Greece. The calamari is not bad either. Lemon potatoes as a side are a great compliment. The fried potatoes were not as appreciated.

I held my wedding at Vivaldi Ristorante in December 2015. From the moment we met with Daniella, I knew we found the perfect wedding venue. We held our ceremony and reception at Vivaldi. The property is beautiful and we were able to take wonderful photos the day of the wedding. The maître d went above and beyond as did the Bridal Attendant. We had no problems the day of the wedding. Everyone at Vivaldi went above and beyond to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams. Our wedding consisted of about 75 guests. This is the perfect venue for a small intimate wedding. Food was delicious and Danielle worked with us to make some changes and adjustment to our wedding menu. Will definitely be back to celebrate anniversary dinners in the future.
Visiting the area friends suggested dining at Vivo. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with dark wood, crystal wall fixtures, and a front colored glass bar. Elegant! Service from Brian was personal despite his servicing several nearby tables. He was considerate of our requests and pleasant. The lobster and asparagus crepe with a velvet cream sauce was EXCELLENT loaded with lobster and light. The crispy artichoke appetizer was cooked well and was def crispy. Two diners had the lobster special with saffron rice with peas and asparagus. Well worth the price! The ¼ lb lobster was fresh. Another diner had the branzini (a small portion) accompanied with quinoa with mango and avocado. She raved how delicious and flavorful it was. A delightful highly recommended fine dining experience. Kudos to owner Gieto, who stopped by to say hello. Always a welcoming treat to have an owner on site to thank diners.

Authentic Greek Food.
I started buying my gyro stuff from this place since Gyro King changed ownership. I like there food in general. When you order take (1) sandwich, it can take up to 15 minutes. Pretty surprising when you just of a chicken soulvaki? Eat in is nice, however, they don't give you enough pita bread when you order an entrée. All in all good gyros in general.

We came for a family celebration. This is certainly our favorite Greek restaurant and possibly our favorite family restaurant. We have been coming here since Farias opened. Our little kids love the octopus grilled. We enjoyed for appetizer A delicious summer salad with water billing. We also had fried calamari, so I cannot do,. For entrées several of us had swordfish steak, lamb chops, branzino, and stuff flounder. Everything was fabulous. The house was great as was the Greek beer and a delicious coffee frappe. We were very fortunate to see Maria, the owner and famous chef from the TV show âChoppedâ. She received a big award the same day for being an outstanding immigrant business woman in Queens County. Maria is just great. This is a lovely family-owned restaurant with fabulous food. We recommend reservations.
Have eaten there with family several times, also ordered takeout, always good, the lemon potatoes ,avegolemono soup is always tasty, small place ,has some chairs outside, always friendly.
Where to eat American food in Whitestone: The Best Restaurants and Bars

In a city synonymous with Italian American heritage and literally thousands of eateries claiming to present Italian fare, most are mediocre cheese and pasta joints.LiOla gives you the highest quality ingredients, cooked perfectly and plated simply and beautifully. The filet of sole is incredible.Sicilian Cannoli, is not to be missed - and I hate regular Cannoli. Service staff are knowledgeable, quiet and respectful of the diner's privacy. Background music is low enough to have a conversation.Whitestone is not the "connected" area it used to be but LiOla still has the atmosphere and quality of that bygone era.Don't forget to have a shot of Amaro after dinner - they put the bottle on the table.Espresso aficionados will love LiOla - the crema is perfect. This is not a tourist trap, I would not recommend loud outbursts, finger pointing and indiscriminate photography of other diners.Expect to spend $55pp or more if you chose higher priced wines.

We have been here more times than I can count. The beef gyro meat is my favorite. Everyone I our party ordered the same thing. My husband had Tasty Fries as his side and our daughter ate most of them. The Tasty sauce is good. Service was a little slow but it was very busy.

This restaurant was recommended by friends for a family dinner with the accent on Greek cuisine of course.. We mostly ordered lamb kebabs but found these remarkably tough and without flavour. We were very surprised by the charges for wine when finally receiving the bill - frankly outrageous. In addition as a party of eight we were placed in what one might describe as a corridor. Cross this one off your list !

Nice atmosphere, good service and great tasting food. A little pricey, but well worth it. Never ate there before and didn't go on recommendation, just took a chance and it was worth it, will patronize it again. Really good all around.
