SILK RD Restaurant is a concept that brings to life the food, drinks and soul that can be found along the ancient routes that run from the Pacific of East China, through to the Mediterranean sea. We serve all of our freshly cooked food in a tapas style, g

First visit to Amara. Staff attentive and friendly. No fault there. However restaurant very cold so uncomfortable. Starters tasty but mains were just warm and my lamb dish was poor quality, very fatty and tough. Would not visit again. But please note this was not due to staff who were splendid, just down to food quality and surroundings.

At Cargo we serve the best fish and seafood youâll find in Liverpool â all fresh, every morning, from these shores and beyond. The great news is the Cargo ship is once again being steered by its original skipper, highly acclaimed executive chef Skevos Par
We ate here on Tuesday night and it was amazing- special of sea bass and prawns. Now, we love fish and have eaten in many great fish restaurants, but this was one of the best meals we have had. Starters of scallops and mussels were great too, and a good hint of chilli in the mussels gave it a different flavour from the usual mussels in white wine. No room for me for pudding but my husband fancied all the puddings on the menu, so Tino russled up a plate of mini deserts for him, although the tiramisu was certainly not mini! Tino was an excellent waiter, made us feel very much at ease. Loved it - will we back? Itâll be the first place we book next time we are in Liverpool! Thanks Tino!Thank you so much for leaving us a great review! We appreciate you taking the time to review our restaurant and we are very happy that you enjoyed our food so much!We look forward to your visit again next time you are in Liverpool :) Love, The Cargo Team

Bacchus Taverna is a modest looking little place on a busy Liverpool street near the cruise ship dock, but it's a gem. The inside is tidy and welcoming and our waiter was very kind and helpful. We had Kleftiko (slow roasted lamb shoulder) and Keftedia (lamb & pork meatballs in a fragrant tomato sauce). Our main dishes were accompanied by green beans with tomato & onion, rice lightly dressed with tomato sauce & roasted potatoes. We shared a plate of Saganaki for our appetizer. The lamb shoulder was fork tender, the 6 meatballs were handmade & tasty. All the food was spiced perfectly & our waiter took wonderful care of us! Definitely a placed we'd enjoy returning to.

Popped in for a spot of lunch OH had pil pil prawns, squid and whitebait...all cooked ok. But the whitebait may have benefitted from a garlic aioli.I had the ploughmans..nothing special.i felt the prices for this was slightly steep considering the portion size.My main gripe was the smell....a very musty almost drain like smell with quite honestly put me off eating but as we had already ordered i would have felt bad cancelling it.We would visit again but definately not sit inside to eat. Whist finishing my drink outside i overheard a group of ladies saying about the funny smell too.Whatever the aroma was I hope you are able to sort it

We had an early evening meal before a concert at the Floral Pavillion. Our group of 4 had a mix of the early bird menu (loads of choice) and the specials. The food and service were excellent. I later discovered that I had lost a gold chain on my evening out. I was delighted when I was told that the chain had been been found and was safe with the restaurant. Lovely people, lovely place, we will go again.
