We ordered take-away pizza's, that were so soggy, they were almost liquid. Upon calling the restaurant, we were told pizza's were supposed to be that way. These pizza's were undercooked and I believe eating them could've made us really sick. We are very demanding pizza eaters and it's not easy to impress us... but finally (!) we found the best pizza place in Utrecht!Super fresh ingredients, home made pesto, thin and crispy dough... the only reason we don't rate this with 5 stars it's because we missed the real raspberries on top of the panna cotta :-)

This place is a jem! They are renowned for their seafood, but everything is sooo good! The wine pairing is awesome and the service impeccable. My wife had a Caprese like salad for starter and I had the octopus prepared in 4 different ways. They were awesome. We had a lovely wine with it, but the shared paella for our main was really well done. The rice was perfect and it was stuffed with mussels and other shellfish. We had a great wine with it. We left the place very fulfilled.

Starter was good. Moussaka disappointed with a somewhat solid bechamel and not sure a dish with potatoes as a key ingredient needed to be served with both chips and rice. Taste was ok but nothing that made us want to return.

If you enjoy collective eating, you'll love this place. Huge tables accommodate lots of people and we were given seats on the edge of one table. The service was excellent, the food was fantastic and the portion size great. To cap it off, the bill was more than reasonable. What's not to like?!

Utrecht has a large variety of restaurants, but the little family-run El Primo stands out for its consistently great food - prepared by Mario himself and served by his charming wife Joanna. It is almost like having a meal at home - just a few tables in an intimate surrounding.The menu is custom-built by Mario and consists of a surprising mix of Italian and Greek styles, is quite unique. Yet the prices are reasonable and you are not far from the centrum.Whenever we want a special evening, El Primo is our first choice.

This restaurant located in an out-of-the-city-center neighborhood is a well-known spot by locals for its grilled meat dishes.The meatballs in tomato sauce was salty, but the main dish of gyros was slightly better without leaving any impact on my taste buds.Service was OK as well as the bill that came to less than 25 EUR including mineral water.Fair portions, but rather average.

I went to this restaurant because of the really good reviews here in tripadvisorThe food gets 3 1/2 stars. The meat was cooked well but all in all it didn't blow my mind. The antipasta plate is OK, but it lacked freshness and ideasThe atmosphere gets 3 stars. Tables are placed wherever is space in restaurant. In the front, at the bar and in the back. Like a lot of restaurants here the place is basically run and managed by students.The wine gets 2 stars. To pay 27euros for a nero s'avolo with a screwtop, which comes in retail for 6 or 7 euros is not worthy a decent italian restaurant. Also most other wines served comes in a screwtop. I have no issue when white wine comes like this, but for red, no please. Also the wine tasted like 6 Euros, without body, aroma and taste. You are better off ordering beer.
