My wife and I went twice to this superb Italian restaurant during our four-day visit to Trier and the Moseltal. The value you get here for your money is absolutely unbeatable!I ordered twice the fabulous Calamari al mediterranean. A sublime pasta dish! One of the best calamari dishes I have ever eaten (incl. many, many visits to Italy). My wife took the filet maiale carozza during our first visit. Although she's not a fan of meat dishes, she absolutely loved this one. Very tender and tasteful. The second time she ordered a Rotbarschfilet, also very well received. The tirmisù (wow!) and the panna cotta we selected as desert appeared to be delicious dolce. The bill was a nice surprise as well. We paid twice â¬60-65! A glass of prosecco for only â¬5 and an excellent Orvietto for a quarter-liter carafe for only â¬5,20. That's what I call great value for the money! One minor remark though: the waiting times are ridiculously long. Twice +1h to get your main course is far too long for Italian restaurant standards, but the food was absolutely worth waiting for!Perfect address for a superb Italian dinner in Trier!

I happened on the Pizzeria Fornelli by chance and enjoyed it so much I went back the following night. This is a very good, no nonsense Italian restaurant that serves up excellent Italian food in decent but not glamourous surroundings. The staff are very efficient and pleasant and ensure that the place runs smoothly and diners are looked after. The antepasti we had was super and fresh; pizzas and pasta are both excellent. The limoncello digestif was a welcome addition at the end of the meal.Well worth a visit but always try and book ahead.

... not really, just couldn't believe that it was middle in an industrial area. Great food, relaxed atmosphere, friendly and accommodating staff. We have been here twice now and always got a table although the place was packed. Being friendly generally gets a friendly response and we've thoroughly enjoyed it both times. Highly recommended, one of the best places I've reviewed from all perspectives. We will become "regulars".

A very nice comfy restaurant with good food and service. The location is good and all of our meals were tasty accompanied by a decent if a tad expensive primotivo but on holidays so whatever....the menu is mainly italian style but there are other options to suit most people's tastes.Hi Jamie, thank you very much for your nice words. We are honored to receive such a good and positiv feedback. We are happy that you liked your stay and especially our food. best wishes Your Donna Mia Team

We were here recently with friends and had a very good meal and nice experience. The owner entertained us and was not short of personality as well. Everything was well done and explained on the menu and the gnocchi was of particular interest. We will definitely be back next time were in town.

We have been there already twice and there will definitely be further visits.Food is excellent, really. Service is nice and friendly. Location is really nice. You can eat outside or Inside. My only little minus point would be : there is no children's menu or dishes. My younger daughter eats as much as a bird, and we did not want to order an adult meal for her. So we asked for an extra plate so that she could pick from us and this was thankfully not an issue. The problem was thus solved. But this might be an idea / suggestion : to add something for children, I would value it.Thanks very much, regarding a childrens fix menü.We tried this, but we have made the experience that the kids always have a different idea about what they want.So we decide to ask what they want - and then we try to fulfill the wishes.

After sightseeing the centre of Trier, this is an excellent Italian restaurant to finish your day, if you like authentic food. We shared a big Insalata Caprese, that was not the real thing but (fair enough) still a delicious salad. As a main we had Gnocchi al Noci and Pappardelle Pescatora, both fresh and home made. The portions were too big to finish, so we did not try a dessert. The staff was understanding and offered a grappa from the house: great gesture and good digestive. Staff was very attentive and friendly and the bill more than reasonable. We love to come back!
