Teddington is on the north bank of the Thames, just after the start of a long meander, between Hampton Wick and Strawberry Hill, Twickenham. Mostly residential, it stretches from the Thames to Bushy Park with a long high street reaching down to pubs, restaurants, leisure premises, fields and fitness clubs by the riverside, having a pedestrian suspension bridge over the lowest non-tidal lock on the Thames, Teddington Lock. As an Italian living in London, I have never, and stress never found a restaurant which would serve freshly cooked pasta rather than the floppy, mushy, sad looking spaghetti which have been precooked. This might sound as a detail, but friends, precooked pasta is the death of Italian civilisation as we know it. Masaniello is the outstanding exception to the norm, their pasta is al dente, the choice is varied from antipasto to dessert and every single dish is as you would expect to eat in Italy. No silly compromise to blend into the uniformity of mainstream restaurateur malarkey , pure, unadulterated Italian. We love it and we feel very lucky to have a place locally which happens to be one of the best , most authentic restaurants in the capital. Continuate così, ragazzi!

From first arriving and ordered drinks at the bar, the waiter was rude and unfriendly, if it hadn't been for a group of us meeting, I would have left then, and as the meal went on I wish we had. The food was average, and no attention was made while taken the order. Would not return.

Yesterday my wife and I came across this fantastic little restaurant when looking somewhere different for lunch. The Lebanese food there is incredibly good and our server Romolo had some great recommendations. Make sure you book in advanced to avoid disappointment as this place is always busy! With both and outside area for the summer and an inside section for the colder months you can enjoy this amazing food at any time. The manchego cheese with red onion is my favourite. Amazing service, the girl serving us was so lovely and we found out it was her first day! Good job and great food!

Had supper here on a summer Tuesday. It was well patronised but not full. We liked our table in the 'library', service was good. As the food was described as tapas we expected all our choices to arrive at the same time, however they came sequentially, which turned out to be a good thing as the portions of most of them were generous. Particular favourites were the blackened cod - melting flakes of fish encased in a light batter coloured with squid ink, lamb which came with tender green beans, and the toast with aubergine puree. Items on the menu change regularly, so worth a return visit when we next are in the area.

So generous and kind. Wonderful impromptu lunch. Jonas - was fantastic! So considerate and helpful. He made us feel so welcome. The food is delicious (++) and a reasonable price. The bread, baklava and water were flowing like the Thames.Excellent. Must try.

Stopped over for lunch meeting, the staff were excellent and polite. The tapas? One never arrived, the calamari was so thinly sliced that couldn't be tasted. The rest were just ok. The deserts were also ok but small in portions. The location is excellent for parking and close to other shops, station and restaurants. On a warm sunny day, the open windows were a bonus. It's not a place I would rush to but then again for a quick lunch it's not bad.

My boyfriend and I were in the area after visiting Hampton Court and found this small italian restaurant. We were very pleased with our choice as the food was really good and the staff very polite. Pizza was lovely and crispy and there are quite a few interesting choices on the menu beyond the classic Margherita. The Gorgonzola e Noci and Dolce Vita pizza were both very tasty and light. The Sicilian panzerotti we had for dessert were delicious and not something you find in many Italian restaurants menus.
