Popular restaurant, so advised to book, which thankfully we did ! Good choice menu, and good service by friendly staff. Tapas was a little different here, and most interesting. We chose Meat Croquettes, Japanese Salad, Scallops & Serrano served on a bed of mash & artichokes, Tuna Tartare Tartlets & a delicious Chocolate Pudding to finish. Everything was superb, such lovely flavours and well presented too. A lovely evening with excellent food. Well recommended.

A Bar with sea taste, just behind Port Bo beach. Come to taste our "Tapas" and pinxos. We are closed for the end of season. We will come back the 1st of March 2019!
Stopping in Cala Palafrugell we found this beautiful tapas bar overlooking the mooring area for the many boats. On entering we were greeted very friendly and shown to a table by the window and a drink order was taken for a beer and a glass of wine. Not being used to tapas service we sat observed before venturing to the counter to select from the many and varied dishes, which could please everyone. We selected a mini beef burger, a chicken skewer and a decorated prawn.Returning to our table the waitress passed and pointed out that we should place our little flag sticks and cocktail sticks in the holder on the table and that she would bill us according to their numbers.A few minutes later a tray of Prawns cooked in a potato pastry, were offered and were really tasty, this was followed by a regular offering every 5 or 6 minutes. I have to admit we waited for the prawns to return on a few occasions. It was a beautiful example of how good food in small quantities can be so appetizing and very filling. A wonderful lunch which lasted so 3 hours (It was a dull day outside). With further drinks and coffee, a bill of â¬33 was most surprisingly good.Very impressive food, service and standard of cleanliness.Thank you for that great explanation of our restaurant! Actually it is great to read your experience and how good it was! Thank you soo much for comming and we are hoping to see you again next year!

Familiar hotel with seafood restaurant. You will find a warm atmosphere and you would enjoy your meal with good views in front the sea. Our specialities are the rices. Moreover, we can offer you fresh fish and the suggestions of the market a part of the d
We had a lunch and a dinner here. The sardines and goat cheese salad were excellent however the paella was disappointing. We had better elsewhere. The service was good but perhaps lapsed under pressure of people. Muchas gracias por su opiniónSiento la experiencia de la paella, no sé que debió pasar...Esperamos poderles atender en otra ocasión y que puedan disfrutar de nuestra paellasaludos cordialesSusan

Tamariu is such a charming little town it´s hard to imagine any food would taste bad here. All the waterfront restaurants were booked full so we chose one of the places on the entrance strip, so close to the beach that in any other town they would have counted as waterfront.I always judge a meal on the context, the value and the experience - not just the food itself - and Can Tonet´s weekend menu for 17 euros turned out to be absolutely excellent. The set menu offers a good variety of starters; we had the calamares a la romana and the mussels - both good portions, fresh and tasty. The other starters we saw, saladas etc. all look equally fine. For the main course we shared the seafood rice which was likewise very good, freshly cooked to order (sometimes in set menus at other restaurants they serve you from a enormous paella that has already been prepared). The menu for two adults came with a perfectly drinkable bottle of wine between two and the desserts - icecream and profiteroles with cream and chocolate sauce didn´t disappoint. The kids menu at 8,50 was perfectly serviceable although suffereing from the same old chicken nugget options as always. Every now and then you discover a place like Can Tonet that leaves you smiling and nodding at the satisfaction of a good meal and a very good price.

El Timo is the place where workers go for lunch and where families have their Sunday brunches. The food is fresh and simple and of great quality. The menu is traditional Spanish or Catalan family food and it is prepared with love for the food and respect for the customers. The lady serving is a sweetheart. Her father, running the bar, a friendly old man.We have been here several times. And every time we feel we have eaten very well and gotten a lot of value for little money. And don't worry about the wine. Take the red, it is served cold and a very tasty local wine also nice to enjoy as tinto de verano. I guarantee you a good meal in a friendly place. Go where the locals go!

This restaurant is on the sea front on the north side of the bay at Tamariu
Three years ago Es Dofi was my favorite restaurant in Tamariu. This place is not to recognize anymore. Chef standing with his cigarette in the kitchen smoking so guests can see. Food is not even close to earlier standards. Sad, because I really enjoyed this place

During our holiday in Tamariu this restaurant became our favorite lunch restaurant for a day at Tamariu beach as we (family with 2 young kids) were never disappointed. The food was fresh and simply very good. The clams, calamaris, little octopus, hake, but also the grilled asparagus, gazpacho, tuna salad: fresh and very tasty. Good local wines. Some of the staff seemed relatively new to the job, but they always did their best and always with a smile. The beachfront scenery made a perfect lunch for us every time.muchas gracias por su comentario ...para nosotros es importante ...vuelvan pronto ..un abrazo ..el palanqui

Once again the well organised team at Chez Tomas excelled from the cooking to the service and friendly attention. A great place to eat with a varied interesting menu. Half portion options is a clever offer to guests for both starters and main courses. Sea bass BBQ'd is a signature dish in my opinion. Excellent choice of local wines too. Essential to book saw many people turned away.
At El Terral, our Chef, Dani Gomez, provides delicious Mediterranean food made with excellent local and seasonal products. Creative, innovative cuisine.
Fuimos a comer un mediodia (un viernes, creo) y en el menu habia fideuá negra. Estaba muy buena. Los primeros son tres entrantes, en plan degustación, riquisimos. EL precio genial, 19,50⬠con postre y una copa de vino.
