Gorgeous setting down through arch in old town of sartene. My husband ordered a local dish of veal stew and pasta which was superb. However I ordered a Corsican salad of ewes cheese and ham. There was very little meat and little cheese but a mound of lettuce! Service was fine but nothing really was outstanding!

The restaurant, with its rustic menu, serves a local cuisine with the vegetables from the garden, our veal and of course the estate's wines. Open between June and September. !! The restaurant closes October 2nd 2016 and reopen June 1st 2017 !!
We found this place while exploring Corsica for the day and what a super find it was. This is a camp site, farm, vineyard and a cute french lunch spot. Primarily I was stopping for the wine which is all biological and produced on site along with other products such as honey, herbs and jams. We ate the lunch special of beef and potato rosti, the beef was delicious and the waitress confirmed it was from one of the cows from the farm. The rosti was also delicious and served with a light gravy and some bread. Simple food and top quality ingrediants, french cooking at its best.As we were flying I could only take 2 bottles of wine but if you have room in the car then this is worth a visit to stock up on wines you simply wont find in a store. You can tastes the wines here so you know exactly what you are getting. One other point to mention is the staff were lovely, neither one of us spoke much French but they went and found someone who could so we were able to understand the menus and specials of the day. Excellent service and very much appreciated.

If you look at the menu, you would not expect much as it says bland things like "Corsican Burger" . Persevere and order with your heart. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. The salads to start with were lovely too. Great staff. My son nicknamed one as the King of Banter! We had the tiny terrace outside the kitchen upstairs over the front door. Really fun chatting to the staff as they whizz about back and forward to the kitchen. We had to wait a little while for a table but it is a great place to wander round. worth having a coffee out in the square afterwards perhaps. There was a lot of live music.

Been to chez Antoine 5 times over the past years, and so far never disappointed - service is very friendly (although the place runs with only 2 waiters upstairs so don't expect fast service), fish always fresh and very professionally cooked, nice desserts (generous portions), nice starters and good wine.Overall not cheap, but you get quality for what u pay!We fully recommend!

After an enjoyable evening listenting to the Sartene choir in the nearby church, we located this frstaurant and enjoyed a tasty meal and professional friendly service. Some days later, whilst investigating alternative restaurants we chose to return to this restaurant and again enjoyed a good meal in a relaxed environment. The meals were tasty and the menu slightly more extensive than those restaurants nearby. The price was quite expensive given the food was good but not excellent. I would recommend this restaurant for it's consistency, friendly and polite service and relaxed atmosphere.

I highly recommend this restaurant for the beautiful surroundings and the friendly welcoming staff. The food is local Corsican cuisine, which is interesting. It is not excellent food, but it is very good and I would return without question because of the charm of the setting and the warmth of the hospitality. This was a magical evening at a very nice restaurant. You must visit to fully understand how the ambiance was more memorable than the cuisine. Be advised that it is difficult to find, but worth the effort.

Average that is ... The waiter was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is on a road leading up to the main square and looks like a small, worn down place. However, it seats most people outside on the other side of the road. The food was OK, but nothing spectacular. I don't see what all the fuss on TripAdvisor is all about ...

Located in Sartène, one of Corsica's oldest towns, we are pleased to welcome you in our panoramic restaurant, you will have the opportunity to taste the best specialties of Corsica and its finest wines while admiring the Valinco gulf. The region abounds i
We've just eaten at Hôtel des Roches. The food was very good. Despite the terrace being closed (perhaps because the main season is finished) we were afforded a wonderful panoramic view from our corner table. However, the wine list is limited and this restaurant was hosting a large tour group tonight - and apparently does so regularly - which seemed to diminish the service. It definitely meant that dining wasn't as quiet and pleasant as it would otherwise have been. Still, we enjoyed our meal and would go back if we could pick a night when a tour group is not passing through.

We loved this place at lunch enough that we returned for dinner. It commands a fantastic view of the maquis all the way down to the sea, and the food, while rustic, is spectacular. For lunch we had a torte with sanglier (wild boar) that was magically seasoned with herbes de maquis and a daily special of tarte with aubergine, tomatoes, and local cheese. Almost everyone seemed to be ordering the brochettes, cooked on a wood fire, so when we returned for dinner the next day, that's what we had. We were not disappointed. Desserts are delightful. Worth a detour -twice!
