This restaurant is on the residential area, a 10 minute walk from the beach. It may not look like much from the outside but make no mistake: everything was delicious and cooked home style, from our toddler's soup to the main dishes. I asked for a traditional "frango na púcara" (chicken cooken in a clay pot) and it was absolutely delicious. The servings were abbundant, too, which sadly left us with no room for dessert. I would go back without hesitation.

Hidden away from Sao Martinho do Porto's picturesque seafront, this is a great little place, run by the passionate Tony and his lovely family. The tapas is wonderful, could not fault one dish, and could have grazed forever and enjoyed a few more draft beers. Michael was a great host, really enjoyed his craic and enthusiasm for some of his dad's dishes and the encouragement to share. The sausage was top of his list and rightly so. Football scarves and shirts from across Europe adorn the ceiling and get Tony talking about his beloved Liverpool and you're in for an entertaining night. There's even an Everton top up there, so he does welcome everyone! Cheers friend

Three of us came for dinner and were swept away with amazing food and wonderful staff. We had the Chateabriand and the other member of our party had Tuna. All excellently prepared and great service with very reasonable prices. We will certainly be back to enjoy the food, wine and service.

We did not eat on this occasion but the food looked good around us. Excellent prompt service and even brought a water bowl for the dogs. A great place for a coffee or beer to sit and watch the world go by.

at first the waiter didn't know if the table was reserved or not, after that all went well, amazing clams, and garlic prawns, house white wine was above average, cold beer and to finish, squid kebab, cooked to perfection. best restaurant in sao martinho. thanks

Was recommended here by our hotel,especially for the seafood. Watch out,it's closed on Monday. But made plans to return on Tuesday and glad we did. Not the cheapest place in town,but busy all night.. My wife's sea bass was excellent. My cod was maybe a touch over, but with the tangy pickled sauce to cut through,it was still lovely to eat.. On the road running round the beautiful bay, if you're not staying in Sao Martinho, it would cap a fantastic day trip,as it did for us from Foz de Arelho around10 miles down the coast.

We were given the English manuals, even though we live in Portugal and speak Portuguese. We decided to have the pasta with monkfish. It was nice but nothing really special. We had no starters, just the bread and olives, monkfish pasta for 3 people, a bottle of wine and 3 coffee, and had to pay a little under 100 euros. Reading the Portuguese reviews of this restaurant, and thinking about our own experience, we suspect this restaurant has higher prices for tourists in their English menus.

If you like seafood, this is the place to be! Good service (friendly, attentive but not intrusive) and perfect dishes. We took tiger prawns (big, juicy and very tasty) and Cataplana (fish stew with lots of fresh seafood in the bowl) I am a regular visitor of Sao martinho do porto and this is for me one of the best restaurants in town. I advise to make a reservation because the place is almost always fully booked. We ask for Tiger Prawn, well come with lots of sand ... Difficult to eat. The french fries was dry and very bad, the salmon was overcooked no tasty (probably frozen as well) - the only good think was the wine. The staff take time to attend us as well.
