I stopped in as some friends were eating. One of them had a salmon salad and the other went for some pork. Both of the meals smelly and looked great. We stuck around for drinks for a few hours. Lots of people were there. If you're waking the Camino this is a good budget/mid-level option.I'd come back for sure!

Somos um Ristorante de Comida Italiana e agora Japonesa. Quem já provou diz ser o melhor Sushi de Santarém.
Excellent atmosphere, very kind staff, great bread, sauces and good risotto! The place has been put together with a great taste, the food options are great (there are even some dishes for vegetarians!!!). Do not miss it when in Santarem!

Went in for lunch yesterday with my husband and a friend. Small restaurant but very welcoming, only been open a few months I believe. We all had the dish of the day - they had scuttle fish and I had the beef stew, all beautifully cooked and very tasty. Wine was good, deserts were all home made and were to die for and all for about 12 euros each. Amazing g place, will definitely be back.

Very good choices in the menu. Steaks and chops were done correctly. Only complaint was that Iâd like to see a pasta dish with meat in the menu.

My wife and I stopped in at this place for lunch as we drove from the Douro valley to Evora. Positives. We asked if they could make us a salad as there was none that interested us on the menu. They said that they coukd do one with apples; we said sure. What came out was a masterpiece, maybe the best salad that I had had in the last year! And it was only 5⬠for a large salad for 2. The only 2 other things that we ordered were appetizers. Both the seafood cones and meatballs were amazing. Service was very good. Negative! When I went to pay I was surprised that our large delicious salad was only 5⬠but more surprised that my seafood cones were 11â¬, as it said on the menu and the blackboard that the price was 5.50â¬. That's when I realized that the price was per unit and that they had brought me 2. (They did the same with the meatballs!). I had not asked for 2, just one order. They said that they had decided to bring me 2. I asked them why they had not decided to bring me ten and charge me 55â¬!? They finally understood and gave me 5.50⬠back (it was the principle).Summary: awesome food and weird pricing

I had an excellent dinner at Pigalle the other evening - beat out our Lisbon choices thus far. The scrambled egg starter was excellent - delicate and perfectly seasoned. Octopus and chorizo super tasty (and Iâm not a huge octopus fan.) Pork belly easily one of the best Iâve ever had ... and Iâve had this a lot, globally. Not too heavy, fatty, chewy w just a perfectly caramelized crust. Only thing I felt needed work was the coffee dessert - a bit average and uninspired - both custard and choc sauce felt heavy, though I liked the coffee cream (needs reworked.)Highly recommend - service and drinks tips too.

This is such a cute and cozy little restaurant which serves sharing dishes as their specialty. Although you also have options on the menu of starters and mains I believe. Everything we had was spectacular. The chef has combined flavors and a twist on some dishes that leaves your mouth exploding with flavour. The staff were super friendly without being intrusive ! They knew the dishes so well and could explain anything you asked. This shows their passion for what they do. If you are ever in the area (or driving through like we were) ... then you MUST try this place. Thank you for making memories for our trip !!

Restaurante familiar com 25 anos de experiência , comida tÃpica portuguesa entre os grelhados de um ótimo peixe fresco e muito boa carne. Dispomos de três salas modernas
Nice very typical Portuguese restaurant. Friendly waiters and amazing fresh fish, with loads of options for meat lovers. Check also the daily meals that change based on the ingredients availability. Super big space, good for family gatherings or group events.

We stopped in Chapa 7 on our way north for a dinner and weâve been very pleasantly surprised! Itâs a very cosy neighbourhood place in Santarém but the food is just outstanding - so delicious and well cooked. Weâve seen watertanks with the seafood in the hall so everything is super fresh. House wine turned out to be very decent as well. The service is very friendly and the menu in English definitely helps. Totally recommend for all seafood/fish lovers for both lunch and dinner, itâs worth a little reroute!

A truly dissapointing experience, while the food was OK and the place very nice the service was shocking. The waiters were completely disinterested in the diners, they brought our wine and forgot to open it, they took forever to come when called and then looked as if we were bothering them for service. They forgot to bring one of our dishes, I had to urge them more than once to finally get it after most of our party finishes eating. This is one of the most expensive restaurants around this area thus one would expect a good experience all round, unfortunately we were very very dissapointed and we have noticed that guests at another table weren't impressed either, not a good day in the life of Restaurante Taxo.
