The initial impressions do make you wary. The outside area could best be described as unpretentious but donât be put off by that you are about to discover a little gem. When you sit down outside and look in you see a clean open modern kitchen where the food is cooked and prepared and you are greeted by smiling friendly people. The place is busy and the atmosphere is good. The menu isnât extensive but it is interesting. Our food was well cooked and well presented. The lemon chicken with couscous deserves special mention. The lemon chicken was lovely and subtle unlike many Chinese equivalents, the couscous and almonds was a good combination and the tsatziki was the final piece to a really good dish. The value was also excellent. Itâs only small we were lucky to get a table on walk in maybe advisable to book. If I could rate it 4.5 I would.

It was a real experience to come to this genuine small town fish restaurant in the countryside in Orotava. First we had boiled Octopus arms that our host did cut at the table and flavored with balsamico and oliv oil and a bit of pimiento, so good. With that we had Escaldon de gofio (like a porridge) with Mojo Verde. Really good. Then very tasty fresh fish (Medregal and Picudo) with salad including very mild red onion grown in the neighborhood. Mild as almost an apple! Good wine of the house and finaly we shared a dessert; Frangolo made from gofio and palm syrup. We will for sure be back next time in Tenerife.

Con Pasion stands for a winebar with passion and where ambiance is just as important as our product. A spot where you can sit and settle down. With us it is all about good coffees and beautiful wines which can be combined with luxury lunches and delightfu
Dined here on the evening of 07/11.Highly impressed with the venue in every aspect that it provided from entering to leaving, especially the ambience which was so relaxing and romantic. Every colour and sound provided in the restaurant complimented the really good food and wine, it was almost uncanny how they managed to create such a serene mood to appreciate whilst enjoying their hospitality.Chose to taste 4 half glasses of local wine each and we left the choices to the very able young sommelier who explained the background story of where each bottle had been produced and what we were to expect in taste and flavour from each one. Not being regular wine drinkers, we were slightly apprehensive but we were put at ease with the friendly, unassuming service and thoroughly enjoyed every wine choice put forward to us. He hit the nail on the head with every description of each wine he recommended to us.We chose the tapas platter for two with breads. You receive around seven tapas dishes with a sauce and two types of bread. Everything we ate was of very good quality, really flavoursome and the empty dishes we left behind were a reflection of how much we enjoyed the dining experience. Their take on Canarian potatoes was a dish to behold, simply delicious. We can't recommend this restaurant highly enough: the staff are really professional, the food and wines are divine and once again, the background and ambience are just perfect. Highly recommended on all counts!Hi Michael,First of all we want to thank you a lot for this beautiful and comprehensive review. It is very nice to read that you enjoyed the entire setting as well the food and wine tasting. We are pleased you had such a good experience and left us with complete empty dishes :). Very kind of you that you recommend us highly on all counts. It was our pleasure having you with us and we definitely look forward to welcome you again soon.Cheers,Team Vinoteca Con Pasión.

We are on the road up to the Teide National Park and overlooking the Valley of La Orotava. Restaurant of traditional Canarian and international food, specialists in picoteo menus and grilled meats. All our menu is gluten free and competitively priced.
We went there for a very late lunch after we visited Pinolere 2017 based on TripAdvisor reviews. We wanted something authentic and we had it.I was impressed with the staff: even they spoke very little English and we speak very little Spanish, they made every effort to communicate (they even wanted to use Google Translate). They serve bread without gluten, a big plus in my opinion. The choice of the menu is not very big, but the food was good and very cheap (the soup of the day was 1.25 euros, the cheapest I found on the island). The desserts were home-made and very good. They let us stay one hour after the closing time (they didn't tell us anything) while they were eating dinner on the ground floor.

Surrounded of Italian and Indian cuisine, we found a good restaurant, good food and betting for a different level of kitchen. We asked for risotto, salmon and beef sirloin, everything yummy and very look like, homemade dessert "quesillo" was so excellent.

The menu at Tasca la Haydee is a wonderful fusion of Canaraian and Asian food. As a an aperitif they brought us a Bloody Mary jelly and a selection of beautiful breads with a variety of butters and oil. To follow we shared a Bao Bun Stuffed with Soft Shell Crab. For the main course I had a wonderful mushroom risotto with Parmesan and John had the fried eggs with black sausage. For desert we shared a Trilogy of Raspberries. The meal was accompanied by a local red wine -TajinasteApparently they will be moving their location in February 2019 to what used to be restaurant LâArena 53, off of the Santa Cruz motorway. We highly recommend this restaurant. Worthy of a Michelin Star but at very reasonable prices.Thank you so much for your extremely kind words, Sally. We are extremely happy to hear that you enjoyed our cuisine as much as you did. Will be moving inf late February any new information will be updated via our social media channels.Once againg, thanks for your support. Best

San Diego Restaurant, the authentic Canarian flavor. Wrap yourself in the delicious flavors of our traditional grilled meat: chicken, pork steak, sirloin, entrecote, chistorras, black pudding, rabbit. All this without forgetting the fresh fish of our isla
Years ago this was a regular haunt of the Tenerife Amigos golf society & then for some reason we left. But 3 visits in the last couple of week puts San Diego back on the regular visit list. Chops, steaks & burgers to die for.....try it , great food super staff, cannot fault itSo happy to see you again. And glad you are enjoying our variety of dishes. We aim to please and hope to be a hole in one for everyone. We look forward to your next visit. Thanks for the kind review. Cheers.

Party of 5 stopped here for a late lunch early dinner. Very unassuming place from the outside with rustic decor inside. Menu was well composed with good variety without being overwhelming. We sampled a dish from each category: mushroom terrine, shrimp, calamari, chicken and beef and they were all exquisite. Washed down with 1 liter of very good Sangria and finished with superb tres leches cake, panna cotta and barraquito. Dishes were very well presented and service impeccable.Place across the street may have a better view but we are glad we chose this one.Of our 9 days on the island, this was our best meal. Also great price to value ratio.

Cocina de productos frescos y sabor tradicional canario adaptada a nuestros tiempor y servida de forma divertida y dinamica. Vistas espectaculares al Valle de La Orotava, El Teide y el mar...A fresh and traditional cousine modified to suit todays life and
So Disappointed! We we quite unwelcomed, I suspect when we called in without a reservation. A reservation was quite clearly not required as the restaurant only had 4 people in when we arrived and about 12 when we left. The food was fine although they bought us the wrong order . We made no fuss about this but they made no comment or recompense. After our main course was cleared we had no further contact even though we would have liked a dessert. We all felt like we were snubbed through our the service. After paying the owner ignored our departure. We had charming service from the young lady, thank you. However, I'm not sure what was wrong with us. The owner seemed to be all over the people from Germany and giving service to all the other tables. You win some and you loose some. We fine Brits have had great service in the area and will continue to support those establishments. We chuckled to ourselves as we didn't even get offered the old favorite sticky drink at the end. Things have clearly changed from when the nice old family were in charge. See for yourself self but don't be too British, even though we speak some Spanish it may change your welcome.

Santa Ursula isn't the first place you are going to think about going to in Tenereife ........ but this restaurant should be!We've be fortunate enough to eat in a terrific variety of wonderful Michelin starred restaurants in a variety of countries - we even went to Nub in Las Lagunas - sorry to say, its not a patch on Tasca de Oliver!Everything is simple, but spotless and the service is superb! Friendly and knowledgeable about both their food and wine and multi lingual.I have never been so moved by the quality of the food. Their chef, in a very small, but very well laid out galley kitchen, cooked me THE BEST French trimmed rack of lamb that I have EVER tasted. It was absolute perfection and even as I write, I can easily recall the flavours - I probably will not have rack of lamb again .......... until I go back, and I will definitely go back.
