I was there for the first time with friends and we asked to taste most of the specialties listed on the menu. The food kept on coming till we had to say stop! Everything was really excellent, made with fresh local ingredients. We also had a chance to taste a wide variety of spirits coming from all over Italy and from abroad. Remember to reserve in advance because the dining area is very small!Grazie Michel L,Ogni giorno cerchiamo di migliorare i nostri piatti e crearne di nuovi con semplicità e amore... ti aspettiamo presto.

Gioia del Colle is great little town for a day trip, or a detour. Barbarossa is the perfect refuge for when the sun is at its pinnacle. It's a tiny restaurant, the owner is both waiter and cook (there's another cook in the kitchen). The menu is not extensive but varied, written on a blackboard, suggesting it's very much the choice of the day. The mixed antipasti is a true delight, several fresh cheeses and cold cuts served on a wooden platter. The pasta's we had after were wonderful too. Flavours were great and every plate is made with great care and attention to detail. This is not a village-type trattoria, it's rather a city-place; still traditional but a little more modern, a little more refined....we had a great lunch and would recommend this place to anyone (as we would recommend a stopover in Gioia to everyone). Is there a downside to this place? If so, it's the moment you have to leave this secret hideaway and walk back into the blistering sunlight....

We so enjoyed dining at La Cicershia, being able to experience the flavors of beef, cheese and wine from the Puglia region. We ate far more beef than normal...the grass fed beef was exceptional in flavor and texture. The buffalo mozzarella from Puglia and vegetable side dish were absolutely packed with flavor and the local Primitivo wine were perfect accompaniments. The service was very good and we asked the waiter to make some recommendations (wine, beef dishes) that were right on. Our only disappointment was that we missed the outdoor season for dining and live music.

The King Stone to satiate the appetite. Hear of King Stone is not new: it could not be otherwise for a local who is present at the scene of nightlife for over 10 years. The real news is the discovery that has changed substantially: about two young boys ve
There aren't a lot of restaurants in Turi, but this restaurant is a real find! Apart from the traditional pizzas which are very good, this place offers some amazing combinations of traditional Italian and more modern cuisine. Fish is always a must here as well as the pasta - their in-house Primitivo is second to none and staff extremely well versed on the specialities of the house, No nonsense bills, which make this place a very good value for money eatery!

I just discovered this venue as a wedding photographer and I have to say than it was magical. All the staff was so kind and nice, the food delicious, and the venue is just gorgeous. The fact than you have to change of location for differents parts of the evening is so fun, and everything is perfectly done by the team.

Ristorante in antica palazzina in pietra ristrutturata, nel centro storico di Turi.
I had to come for business reasons to Turi. One evening I had dinner in this restaurant. It was a very pleasant experience. Good food, suprising creations, tradition and new cooking, all together made it a very good experience. The staff was extraordinary friendly and made a good atmosphere.

I have been to this restaurant few days ago with my family, and we have been extremely satisfied from the dinner. We had a mix of starters, some grilled meat, and some desserts. Everything was delicious, from the beginning to the end. I was mainly surprised that, in a place where the speciality is traditional cusine and grilled meat, they also have some very creative dishes as starters or desserts, and a great care for details and presentation. I appreciate that, despite this place is well known in the area, they keep on working in order to be up to date and renovate their menu with very interesting and original options rather than simply offering the same traditional successfull dishes. The service if kind and nice. The location and the athmosphere is ok, nothing special, but I would say that it does not really matter in this case, as the food is so delicious.I am not 100% sure about the price, but I am pretty sure it is very much ok, given the great quality of the food.Really recommended!

Just a short drive from Bari and 30 minutes inland from the popular seaside resorts of central Apulia lies the town of Sammichele di Bari, an undiscovered jewel famous for its castle and butchers who feature the famous zampina spiral sausage. Here we discovered a new restaurant which features a variety of meat dishes, authentic Pugliese cusine and wines locally sourced. The restaurant 4 Miglia or four miles opened in August. The night we visited it was completely full and a reservation is recommended. The young owner and host was very welcoming and service was first rate. We ordered the Pugliese antipasto which included mature cheeses, the local mozzarella, cured meats, grilled vegetables, breaded meatballs, zapina in tomato sauce and much more. We chose the house wine which was a blend of local Aglianico and Cabernet and paired well with the meats. For main we selected the aged beef steak finished to perfection on hot stone at the table, grilled zampina and bombette or small pieces of meat, wrapped in cheese and grilled. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of a 16th century palace. Both have been beautifully restored with a large terrace for the warmer weather surrounded by planters containing fresh herbs. Prices are moderate and commensurate with those in the area which makes this a great value. Parking is easy to find.
