A celebration of food and life! Kalymnos Taverna is a celebration of food and life. It is a space where traditional Greek food truly shines, where simple and beautiful flavours make for memorable dishes. When you mix authentic recipes and fresh produce wi
Mermizzeli always surprises! Tonightâs fish was the best weâve had in Kalymnos! Michalis and Popi are wonderful hosts and Nomici, the chef is awesome! Weâll be back - probably tomorrow!Thank you for your review and it is great having you back. We are very happy that you enjoy the fish.

This restaurant is in Kantouni and was near our accommodation. The first time we went there was a wedding reception in one half of the restaurant. We were made very welcome and had a good evening though were somewhat envious of the food only available to the wedding guests. We returned and had a very good meal. Fish is the specialty of the house and all who chose fish were pleased with their choice.
This place is a gem hidden in plain sight! We were in kalymnos for three nights and ate here for both lunch and dinner (two days in a row) enjoying beautiful and authentic Greek food like yiayia used to make. The meals were all homely and well portioned but the frapés were a real surprise. The best on the island by far. Between the two of us we ate beef patties, seafood, yemista (stuffed veggies), dolmades (stuffed vine leaves) and lots of salad. We did not have a bad meal and they are all very reasonably priced. If you're on kalymnos: definitely give this place a go and Poppy will cook you a meal you won't forget.

The lovely Kalliopi recommended pure thyme honey and the result was mind blowing. Wonderful light texture and a perfect match for exceptional honey. And then the gorgeous harbor etc...such a nice destination!

Restaurant and pizzeria. We offer a lunch menù for to go or to stay with street food , slide of pizza and pasta of the day. From thursday to Saturday We are open in the evening and We serve pizza , pasta, grilled fish and meat, homemade desserts and good
We went there for dinner and we're recommended mussels for starters and tagliatelle with scallops for mains. The mussels were fairly OK but very small and we had to ask for a spoon to eat them. The tagliatelle arrived with too much oil, five (!) tiny tiny scallops each (nor what I expected at all, these were 1,5 centimeters or smaller), a few small tomato halves and some chili. The taste was rather bland and not really worth the 14 euro charged. We had to ask for salt and pepper. The chocolate dessert though was all right. All in all you get more authentic Italian food at Kambusa in Myrties and for less money. And tastier. Sorry. We are sorry for your disatisfaction. Certainly We could do better but if you are able to find in all Kálymnos Island a restaurant serving fresh mussels (not frozen) and any kind of scalops please advise me, maybe they have a better supplier than mine. I am sure you can't. Regarding Kambusa please note that it is a " pizzeria" where for sure you can get a great PIZZA , cheaper than scalops but it has not the same value.

Called there today and just had a beer with a view to dining there later. No menu up and no prices either. So Iâve no idea how much the food is but was charged 4.5 Euros for a bottle of Mythos. Thatâs a rip off! At the ferry port in Kos ( tourist trap)itâs 3.5, everywhere else itâs 3.5. Iâve just come back from a sports bar, big screen football on ( so you expect to pay a premium), a very large admittedly draught beer and a generous bowl of complimentary peanuts. 4 â¬. Can I afford to pay an extra Euro for my beer? Of course but do I like being taken for a ride?Definately not.

Nice family restaurat. We had recommendations from Maria.Octopus croquettes: despite some good reviews, we did not like it. Maria did not charge us for the dish. A plus for the place.Shrimp saganaki: very good indeed.Kalymnian salad: we had this almost everywhere, the main difference between this and the he Greek salad seems to be the crusty barley bread. Delicious.Swordfish: good, but salty. There are also plenty of cats around to feed.Overall it was a nice experience, thanks Maria.

Had such a lovely lunch here. We hired a car for 30 euros and drove 10min to Paradisio. Itâs right on the beach and the view is perfect. We ordered fried squid, cod and the octopus with the avocado salad and watermelon salad. All of the dishes were fresh and delicious. They also served freshly baked bread with olives to die for! So good! The waitress was very attentive and made us feel at home. The price was very reasonable and when we were finished we went for a swim just meters away. Perfect. We will be back again. A+++

We were in Pothia port for one night on the Zeus Too charter. Our hosts, Andy and Carole, are in Pothia often and highly recommended this restaurant. It is off the main road, tucked into a lovely quiet courtyard. The food was excellent and their eggplant moussaka special was one of the favorites in our group. Authentic Greek restaurant and non-touristic. Very good quality for the price. We highly recommend!
