Our waiter/owner was a great host. We tried Greek salad with walnuts and something else, it was delicious. The traditional kebab was also super tasty. We did not particularly love the wine meze plate that he suggested though. Chicken that was part of the meze was good, the rest was ok. He also provided free desert at the end. Would come back if opportunity presents itself.

La Veranda Bar-Restaurant awaits you with a breathtaken view over Volos and the nice country, wonderful terrace, also shadow under very nice trees, a view like in Brasil, so nice; the greek menus are really delicious, a wonderful place to return.

Great place, and the food is beyond anything tasted in the Greek mainland. We had many different courses, mushroms, liver of dowe, truffelmarinated steaks, steakes, salads, grilled goatcheese ++++ Let the chef or the waiter help you order.Quiet nice place for indoor or outdoor eating. A bit diffucult to find, but absolutly doable! Take a taxi from Volos (aprox 15 euro) and you are in for a treat!

Now this may not be the poshist or the Michelin standard of cuisine , but it was one of the BEST fish restaurant I have eaten in.I arrive at this conclusion when I try and put the sum of all the attributes together, such as the quality of the food, the ambiance, the great mezedes that you can order or that you receive every time you order a tsipouro or an Ouzo. Also the dessert to end the meal with are mouth watering. Add to this the great service of the waiter anf the attention that the Boss gives, then you have the formula for "a wee gem of a place".This place only has about 8-9 tables but the atmosphere whether busy or quiet is great.Nearly forgot....prices are very, very reasonable. As I write this the juices are filling up in my mouth. What more is there to say.....Highly recommended !! Super !BTW...went back the following evening and it was just as good as before ( not a one off )

The restaurant is located at Portaria, Pelion just behind the ex town hall building, on the way to Makrinitsa. It's a cozy restaurant with a relaxed, homey atmosphere. You can taste traditional homemade dishes from Pelion like spentzofai, boubari etc.You
A cozy warm restaurant with friendly staff and a lovely selection of meat-based traditional dishes. Although the service was a little slow and the salad over dressed the main dishes were lovely. Accompanied that with cheap tap wine, table by the fireplace and soothing background music it was a pleasant dining experience.

Very friendly and familiar taverna. Local plates, not only grilled. Taste them. Big plates in average cost. They offered tsipouro, local spirit drink for welcome with "meze" and when we finished our meal they brought fruits and local sweets for free. Reservation is needed if it is late and weekend. Quick polite service and they accept cards.Thank you very much!We are waiting for you for another food experience!Every comment is important for us!
