Shawarma Palace has been the benchmark in the National Capital Region for the Shawarma Industry since 1996. We are proud to remain a locally owned and family operated franchise. Every trip to Ottawa deserves a stop at Palace!
We decided to have shawarma at my workplace for our spring BBQ instead of the usual hot dogs and hamburgers and it was an absolute hit! The set-up was a buffet style. However, all guests were served by two gentlemen from the restaurant that were extremely polite and all smiles. Although I was a little stressed about having so many people depend on me for lunch, they reassured me that this was peanuts for them. Well, they were absolutely right! They served all our guests with extreme efficiency. The portions on our plates were more than enough for the amount we each paid (bonus: we had plenty of leftovers for the organizing committee), but the taste is what made people come up to me to give their thanks for such a fantastic BBQ, as if I had cooked the food myself! They were extremely satisfied with their experience. Note to self: Shawarma Palace for next year's BBQ... and my family's next restaurant outing!

Preâconcert dinner so looking for something reasonably quick, filling at a good price point. This is a wee dining space that provides taste and freshness in its huge platters. Chicken and lamb kabobs, tender and cooked to our specs and accompanied by tender steamed/roasted potatoes and flavourful rice, and Greek salad. Beer and Greek wine choices offered. Steady stream of regulars in for dinner and takeaway. Friendly owner/manager and wait-staff. You wonât leave hungry or disappointed.Accessible at street level. Ample street parking in the area (free after 6 pm).

The newest culinary experience in Kanata South! Modern and innovative cuisine paired with a bold wine list and delicious cocktails, all captured in the areas most exciting, unique and creative dining atmosphere. Simple vision: eat, drink, share. Our class
This was a gift certificate we had from a family member, the restaurant is in a small strip mall hidden a bit but definitely looks are deceiving. When you come in it's a very warm inviting place no noise that you need to talk over. We started with the warm bread and butter which was fantastic with different breads. Then we shared the pears & prosciutto which again we're just the perfect size, then we had the chicken dish and the steak dish and the tiramisu for dessert. We will definitely come back again

This was our first visit here. We expected that the positive reviews would have ensured a terrific dinner experience. Although all of the dishes were pretty good, they did not match up to our expectations for a fine restaurant. The funghi pizza was good, but dull tasting. The chicken souvlaki and chicken linguine special were also good, but not really a souvlaki and certainly not among the best (anyone can do a better version). Based upon our experience, I consider their dishes to be of average quality at premium prices. Servers were really personable. Hopefully, the restaurant can step up their offerings in order to bring us back.

Welcome to Aroma Small Plates and Wine. The first of its kind in Canada! Come and enjoy "Meze" the food that reflects the way of life in Greek culture. Meze...an eating style, ancient in origin, favored in Greece and the Mediterranean. It is where eating
The meze formula really worked for us, with a succession of small but beautifully cooked sharing dishes. What a good way to solve the all too common problem of 'super-size me' portions! It was very busy when I visited and service was a little slow, but very friendly and personal. We were impressed to be offered a complimentary extra dish when I ordered something my partner did not like.Although each dish is small, we found five dishes plus a desert was plenty enough for two.The absence of Musak was another plus. The only minor gripe I had was that the stark decor meant the restaurant room became rather noisy with conversation when it was full.

Leave behind your pre-formed ideas of middle eastern food - Fairouz goes in a fresh, creative direction, while retaining the flavors you love.Situated in a cozy old home, on a lively street of former residences now populated by restaurants, Fairouz is an off-the-beaten path stand out in Canada's capital. Sumac chicken, stuffed artichoke and fried cauliflower are a among the stars here -- but there are not bit players. Everything is great.

Last night we celebrated my husbands Birthday at Aperitivo. We enjoyed one of their cocktails to start followed by sugar snap peas, ribs and a wonderful fresh peach and prosciutto salad. We allowed our server (and owner) Erica to pair our wine with our meal, as we always do, and sheâs always spot on. Desert was a delicious brown butter cake with sponge toffee and cream......wow! We ended our meal with coffee for me (black, since their coffee is always fresh and piping hot) and my husband tried a new scotch which made his entire day! He was still talking about it an hour after getting home! If you are celebrating or simply looking for wonderful food, memorable cocktails and wine as well as outstanding, attentive service this gem of a restaurant will never disappoint.

My husband and I went to Chez Fatima with and at the recommendation of local friends who had yet to try it. We were all dellighted with our dinners and with the warm welcome and great service. The value-pricing makes it accessible for more than a rare treat, which is appreciated because there are so many exotic treats to try. We wish this was OUR neighborhood restaurant, but we look forward to going back next time we visit our friends in Gatineau.
