We had lunch at the restaurant Gattamelata and had the pleasure to seat at the balcony and enjoy the lovely view to the Piazza.The restaurant serves local food. The menus were all in Italian and the waiter didn't speak English.We took two appetizers and four mains. The Cannoli with eggplant dish was slices of eggplant rapped in a phyllo dough with tomato sauce. It arrived almost as the others finished there pasta and it smelled and tasted like it was burned.

Simple restaurant with great local cuisine. Had dinner here twice during our stay in Narni and both times had a great dinner. Fantastic steak fiorentino (2.2 pounds) and perfectly grilled, served on a hot stone platter. Outstanding wild boar pasta and great ravioli with butter and sage. Personell speaks very little english, but our limited italian was enough to get buy and everybody was very friendly and tried their best to make our dinner a wonderful experience.

This colorful medieval style trattoria is great fun and the food is modestly priced and yummy. Their boards of selected hams, cheeses and vegetarian delights are a great way to start off preceedings and maybe to follow up with ravioli in a walnut and Gorgonzola sauce? Or stringozzi pasta with bacon and broad beans? Otherwise a pizza? Or a wide choice of meat dishes... The atmosphere is relaxed and casual but not without surprises as both Italian and the local international community meet there and itâs not infrequent to come across the local musical talent! Last , but not least, it would be remiss not to mention Rodolfo and his tremendous hospitality and all the staff in situ, especially attentive and considerate Roxana.. A thoroughly enjoyable evening in delightful medieval Narni.

Good basic fare at a modest price. One aspect which could be very attractive in these summer months - the thick walls keep the place nice and cool. A relaxed family rustic atmosphere great pasta with lepre (wild rabbit/hare); fantastic wild boar rich, decent wine and desert. ate well for â¬60 for 4 persons.....

We stopped here for lunch on the first day of our vacation. It made a good start to the trip. The platter of typical Umbrian cold cuts and cheese was large and extensive. Each slice of meat was delicious. My wife had the eggplant parmesan which was a simple basic preparation that highlighted the eggplant and the tomato sauce. It was also one of the most reasonably priced lunches we had on our vacation.

Pleasantly surprised by our experience. Had the pork loin stuffed with truffles & cheese. Very delicious.Chairs were uncomfortable but the food made up for it.Would definitely recommend this place.
