My first visit here and impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff, they made us feel really welcome. Food pretty good and freshly prepared, we particularly liked the sheftalia. This restaurant is good for Vegetarians as they serve plenty of tasty veggie options. We ordered the Petritis white wine, our favourite Xinisteri which was well chilled and at Euro 18 per bottle a decent price. The taverna is quite difficult to find in the dark if you don't know the area so would recommend a trip to find it in daylight. Worth a visit!

I have visited this restaurant more than twice. The staff is very polite and helpful. The portions are quite generous while the quality was the same between visits. The restaurant has a clear view to the sea which is unfortunately unsuited for swimming. Iwould definitely recommend it.

Our extended family of ten are here twice while staying in a nearby beach front villa. The location right on a headland offers stunning views, which goes well with the good menu choice on offer. The prices are very reasonable and the staff were friendly.

Worth the extra drive from Zygi. We have been going to different restaurants in Zygi for years and have become increasingly disillusioned as Zygi becomes more commercial and touristy. Mamas Restaurant is outside Zygi and is on the coast side of the road where it has no near neighbours. We sat on the grass under a canopy very close to the sea - lovely sound of waves lapping. The fish was excellent, obviously fresh and beautifully cooked, as was the salad and potatoes. The service was attentive, professional and unobtrusive. We will definitely go back there above all others in Zygi.
Live music every Friday and Saturday with a five member group. Free white/red wine in carafe every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday!
We are stopping local to this taverna in Alethrico and the locals and villa owners highly recommend it especially for the Mezze. I can tell you now they weren't wrong. The hospitality is first class and the food is out of this world. This is a "must do" if your in Cyprus. A massive thanks you to the staff for making us so welcome. The prices are excellent as well.

This is by far the best place for traditional Cypriot food.We have been coming here for years and it never fails Weâve been her just over a week and been here 4 times already.Meze is plentiful and tasty. Kebab takeout in a pitta in to die for. Very reasonable from £8 per head to £16 if you have meze.

This is a tavern one of many in this town just outside Kite and near Lanarca. It is typical of taverns and street names are difficult to find even if they exist
We went here 4 times while in Cyprus, it's a real family run taverna. All the food is homemade and tastes absolutely amazing. We had the meze twice and we were beaten twice, we tried really hard but we did have a great breakfast the next morning.A massive thank you to Andy and Ells for taking us here, loved eating here. We ate here twice during a recent holiday in the Larnaca area. On both occasions the grilled chicken kebab was very nice but the seafood was not up to the same standard - the grilled king prawns lacked flavour and the fish kebab (from the Indian section of the menu) had an odd texture (I don't know what kind of fish this was). The portions were really generous so you won't leave hungry. The service was a little variable ... on the first visit (a busy Friday night) they were friendly and efficient but strangely, not quite so much on the really quiet Sunday night.

Try the the Cyprus breakfast. Loved it. Bumped into it after disappointment of Zygi (Only go to Zygi if you like fish and beer, literally nothing else) great coffee and two breakfasts for less than 20 euros

Visited with my husband and two children (9 and 10) just over a week ago. Beautiful setting (we sat outside at colourful tables surrounded by twinkling lights), welcoming and friendly hosts, good pricing and delicious, fresh, home cooked Greek food. We had the meze and the food never stopped coming! My son had sausage and chips and a bowl of hummus so plenty for the little ones too. Donât miss the opportunity to eat here if youâre in the area and brush up on your Greek to chat to Lori the lorikeet.
