We went to dinner here on the strength of their tripadvisor rating and reviews. Our experience here was different from the glowing tripadvisor ratings. The artichoke first course the waitress recommended was okay, but nothing remarkable. For the mains, I thought I was ordering the beef (we had communication issues as my French is limited as was the waitress's English) but got the lamb. There was so much fat on the lamb that there was hardly anything to eat. What I did eat was very tough. Others at the table ordered two vegetarian dishes, both of which were left unfinished due to lack of flavor. The mains cost around 20 euros each. For what we got, and particularly for the vegetarian dishes, it was not a good value. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes, but after our experience we were not eager to go back to try others. During dinner, I overheard the owner urging the couple seated next to our table to write positive tripadvisor reviews. Perhaps this helps to explain, in part, such a high rating?

The L'Escale des Vins is located on D7N about half way between Mallemort and Lambesc. It is in a modern, attractive building with perhaps the most unusual and beautiful flooring we have seen in this area of France. The food is priced a little higher than the usual 14-16 euro menus found in most towns along the way. I had a large scallop on raviolis in a cream sauce with leeks (19 euros). It was large enough to be fully satisfying all by itself. My wife had two scallops with julienne vegetables in a crispy crepe bowl (15 euros). It too was large enough to be fully satisfying. Both dishes were beautifully presented. I ordered a 1/2 liter of local rose which was very good and priced at only 6 euros. Seating is available outside on a shaded porch or inside. The restroom was spotlessly clean. We recommend this restaurant if you want a lunch priced a little above average but with food and wine that are way, way above average. Bon appetit!Merci pour votre confiance ainsi que votre avis partagé. La satisfaction du client est notre mot clé, nous sommes heureux de l'avoir accomplie. En espérant vous revoir bientôt. Bonne journée

On visiting the resort late in the season this was the only restaurant available to eat in. Overall the cost was extortionate considering the quality of the food, with no lower cost option available. The furniture was very comfortable and the building itself has worn well - looks in mature but good condition. For anyone eating at the resort this would surely be the last resort. We trvalled all around the area over the course of a week and found every other choice better than here.

My wife and I first discovered le Patio du Vallon in 1999 when we had just arrived jet lagged and hungry at a house we were renting just outside of Merindol and while walking through the very quite village we heard noise from a second floor terrace, le Patio, and shared a marvelous pizza and a carafe of wine in a very pleasing setting. We return to Merindol in June and September each year, and our first dinner is always a pizza and a carafe at le Patio. Then, over the course of our two weeks stays, we will eat at le Patio at least 2 or three more times because the chef's talents extend well beyond pizzas. He also makes the best lasagna that we have ever eaten, actually two varieties, bolognaise which my wife prefers and "lasagna brouse", with eggplant, that I prefer,he makes a very good cannelloni, and he makes terrific deserts. And the prices are reasonable to the extreme.

This is a good countryside restaurant where you will be served a proper though unpretentious meal. There is a nice and intimate terrace on the edge of Alleins. The staff is welcoming and kind. They proposed a "formula" with lotte, vegetables, salad and rice. We both had this dish, that was well prepared and fresh. My starter of foie gras de canard was very skilful prepared and a delight. Our request for a piece of breaded and fried Camembert as a dessert was honoured without hesitation, whereas it was not on the menu. We enjoyed a nice French countryside meal, that under normal conditions would have been a reason to go back. However, there was a severe glitch in the evening. From the moment we came in, until we have left there was a cat (later two cats) sneaking between the tables and the feet of the guests to beg for food. The staff of the restaurant declared that this were not there cats, but also didn't do much to get them out of the terrace. They apparently knew the cats and were more or less accepting them. For us this is untolerable and therefore we will not go back and therefore 3 in stead of 4 as a judgement.

"100% local, 100% homemade " Good : delicious fresh food always in season is the cornerstone of our efforts to maintain our culture and our identity Homemade : never frozen ! We are preoccupied with choosing the best quality ingredients which we transform
We visited here towards the end of the season and it was still very busy with locals which tends to give you a good idea how good this place is. The setting is a lovely old French Manor House , sympathetically decorated with modern art but retaining its character. We were lucky enough that the weather was still good and could sit outside under the pagoda. The menu is fairly short , which I prefer and consisted of a could of a couple of beef dishes, a fish dish and a pork dish with a veggie option. Being far from veggie , I opted for the beef carpaccio with parmesan Ice cream with steak tartare . My fiancée opted for tomato carpaccio and the entrecôte steak. To finish , we had a peach soup and chocolate fondant. Everything was cooked / prepared to an excellent standard. Service was prompt and attentive without being overbearing and the waiters spoke English where required. If we could be very critical , the tartare had a little too much parsley and the chocolate fondant was a little 'over' but did not detract at all from the evening. We would definitely return! Many many thanks

The beautiful shady terrace is an excellent location to relax for a delicious meal on a hot day. I had the salmon tartare with goats cheese and it was excellent. The ice-cream dessert is enormous with homemade apricot sauce. The staff were lovely and very attentive and provided everything we could have asked for for the kids. There's a shady playground attached to the car park which is great for a run around after lunch.Definitely be back!

Sur le domaine de Pont Royal - Village Pierre et Vacances et Golf International Venez découvrir notre cave et bar à vins (bières et soft) Tapas et bruschetta sur place et à emporter
Le comptoir des vins is a great place to have a pre-dinner drink or refreshment after a game of tennis or football. We come here a few times each trip and my young sons now love tapenade - a new development, thanks to le comptoir. The Nutella bruschetta always goes down a treat. The staff are very attentive and kind and my kids feel confident in practicing their (very limited) French by ordering various things! When nothing else is open and P&V seems very empty and dull, the comptoir des vins always delivers and the atmosphere inside and out is welcoming. thank you for your visits. I look forward to welcoming you again

Du petit déjeuner au goûter et aux glaces, du repas de midi aux tapas du soir, nous vous attendons pour un moment de convivialité.
The Tour de France passed by Mallemort between 3 and 6 pm on the day of our visit . Le jardin provided the perfect bookends to our day : a wonderful lunch in the garden, fresh delicious and generous salads, a walk down to watch the race with all the excitement that entailed, followed by happy hour and tapas in vast quantities afterwards . Tapas served promptly and utterly delicious : of particular note the squid and broad beans .
