Find out what Mediterranean restaurants to try in Llanes. Llanes (the Concejo de Llanes, Conceyu de Llanes in Asturian language) is a municipality of the province of Asturias, in northern Spain. Stretching for about 30 km along the coast at the extreme east of the province, Llanes is bounded to the south by the high ridge of the limestone Sierra del Cuera, which rises to over 1,100 m. The region is part of the Costa Verde (Green Coast) of Spain, which is known for its spectacular coastal scenery, with 32 white sand beaches, and mountains covered with a deep green mantle. Llanes lies to the north of the Picos de Europa, a mountain range whose geology is almost entirely of limestone karst.

Hotel recommendation as being very good. Ordered prawns for starters -- OK, but main dishes of Veal Escalopes (good) but the Veal Entrecote was undercooked and untrimmed - parts inedible and not able to cut with sharp knife. Indifferent service and management not interested in the complaint. Left early and disappointed. Hotel were shocked!!!

Really, really, really good! We were five and hardly could finish 4 dishes: one infant dish, one cachopo (two or three People can share it), one complete hamburger dish and beef steak, two cider bottles and three drinks.....50â¬.The staff is friendly as well.A piece of advice: on Saturday by 21.00 pm is full of customers. Better have dinner Early.

This is not only a really great restaurant with very friendly staff, but also very easy on the wallet.A â¬13.50 menu, including 3 courses and a bottle of very good wine, with food that would make many top chefs jealous - you can't go wrong!Highly recommended

We stopped here, after arriving at Bilbao Port early in the morning, on our way West. We wanted a typically Spanish bar and we weren't disappointed. It was a popular place (several Pilgrims and plenty of locals) and we took a seat inside. Two large Café con leche, tortilla, bocadillo con jámon y queso and an ice lolly for â¬7.20! All very good. Highly recommended. We had tried to stop in Llanes but were unable to find parking, however this was a better alternative.

This restaurant looks like a typical small town bar from outside, indeed through the door you are in a small town bar. However into once the restaurant you will realise that this is an exceptional restaurant with a very talented young chef cooking in a family owned establishmentWe ate here two nights in succession and enjoyed great ingredients cooked in an inventive and thoughtful manner. A single oyster with lime and suckling pig were outstanding, the the Asturian wild chicken, pitu de calaya, was the best fowl I have eaten for along time.Good value wine list and friendly service - thoroughly reccommended.

Restaurant sits on top of (for a better word) the fish mart, (Lonja del pescado ) in the port of Llanes; this is where the fishing boats bring their daily catch which are auctioned among the authoritized members of the mart.It is a modern, airy, clean looking bar and restaurant with the freshest fish, shellfish and seafood. The waiters are very knowledgeable about the daily catch offer and suggest the most appropriate preparation for each variety of fish and seafood. The bar offers a good selection of tapas, both hot and cold. The place is always very busy and reservations are a must.

This really was a lovely restaurant. So good that we went back twice in a short stay in Llanes. Fantastic food and service - overused phrases that have a real meaning here. You are made to feel at home immediately. The food is freshly cooked with original twists on classic dishes, served beautifully in lovely surroundings, with a great wine list. We loved it. Easily the best restaurant in town and one of the best Iâve ever been in anywhere...

I went with friends and a French couple we met the the bar. We had the house wine at the bar and it was very good local vintage. We meandered upstairs and ordered the house special for the day. It was a local white fish wrapped on ham and stuffed with something, covered with a great light cheese sauce. The meal was fantastic. If you go I would recommend the special or ask Ricardo, the owner, what he recommends. The location is on side street on the right about 1km from A-8.Enjoy

This restaurant is somehow different from all the other excellent) restaurants that we tried during our trip in Asturias. Local ingredients were transformed in some delicious dishes. The service was great too. I absolutely recommend this restaurant. Everything was quite light and portion were not as big as in other restautants but they were just fine.
