This was out third visit to this restaurant, this time just the two of us. The buffet offers something for everyone; the poached whole salmon is particularly good, as we're the stuffed mushrooms There is a good choice of main courses (if you still have room!), again, something for every taste! Then there is a very good choice of puds and icecream. We had some excellent wine of the domaine. The staff are really lovely and spoke good English. The family is charming and welcoming and we were so pleased so see Grand-Pere back on the saxophone! It is a pity that other reviewers had a bad experience, maybe if they had stayed to eat they would have been more positive!

It is in an ancient sheep barn that we offer you to discover compositions of our leader. A kitchen defecated with quality products prepared respecting taste and underlined by subtle alliances of spices and of aromatic plants.Menus composed of products out
This is the sort of rural French restaurant you hallucinate about on cold dark winter afternoons!Excellent food, freshly cooked. We enjoyed good beef and veal washed down by local wine. The service is very friendly. My French is good enough to understand the menu but if your French isn't fear not, the owners English is excellent.

Specialising in North African dishes like couscous and tagines, this friendly little restaurant on Leucate's bustling main square is definitely worth a visit, and makes a nice change from standard French menus. Try the Couscous Royale, with chicken, merguez, a kebab and falling-off-the-bone lamb, with some rose wine, followed by mint tea - perfect.

Very nice place with a beautiful sunset view on the bay and good food. Nice menu with seafood, including squid cooked in all different ways. Polite staff and good service. Nothing very exceptional but decent.

4 of us went for an evening meal last week, (28th August 16) and it was faultless. Our friends had been before and thought we would like it. We all had three courses, each prepared very well, and just as importantly, on hot (where appropriate) and traditional plates. No fake tiles for the starters here! The table staff were very polite and attentive, and the owner made sure that everything was OK.From a personal point of view, this one of the best restaurants around Leucate. Parking is across the road in a public parking area, and does fill up. I strongly recommend that you take good care when you park so that you can easily get out again later. So, pick a good space, and reverse in!It is important to make a reservation here, and you can choose between eating inside in the courtyard/garden, or inside.I would revisit Le Jardin des Filoche without hesitation.

Despite being very busy (understandably), the service was rapid, very friendly and even in English if I needed it. Food was good portions at good prices, no rip off here despite waterfront position. The seafood was fresh and the pizzas well covered and huge. Thoroughly recommend.

Decided to visit Leucate plage as had heard it was one of the best beaches in the region. Spent the morning on the beach and popped in to Ginette (plage) for lunch and expected the normal beachside fare... However, we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food that was served - large fresh prawns, delicious calamari, an amazing mozzarella and tomato salad... They accidentally brought out some cod and potato balls which we said to leave (and were delightful) but didn't end up charging us for them. All served up in a relaxed beachy manner at a decent price. In summary expected an average experience but the food far exceeded our expectations and couldn't ask for more!!!

The restaurant is perched on a cliff with stunning views - it is easy to find and there is plenty of parking right out front. A modern building with floor to ceiling windows makes the most of the coast, and every diner has a superb view.We had the 34⬠lunch menu (there were also options at 55⬠and more), and this was excellent value for such sophisticated, pretty cuisine. Everything is refined and full of flavour, and service is in the michelin star category (as is the cooking). The wine list is substantial with a lot of interesting wines, and plenty to choose from between 30-40⬠a bottle.Special mention for dessert - such an intricate and perfectly flavoured dessert in a basic lunch menu was a fabulous surprise at the endow the meal. Strawberry 'opera' didn't sound that exciting to me, but in fact it was amazingly presented and totally delicious.
