They certainly do have the terrible staples of tourist food (such as pølser, fries and the terrible spaghetti bolognese). However, they also have a solid choice of fresh fish, prepared according to the genuine tradition. Everyday they serve a different pasta dish: one day we had a home made pasta with little octopus sauce. We enjoyed gnocchi, and the classic spaghetti alle vongole. Good choice of antipasti and a few selection of fishes as main course. We really enjoyed it.

And we all know that in normal circumstances Italians do not queue, so to find a line of locals waiting at the counter of this bakery must mean that the products are good.We saw all manner of Italian bread products and prepared sandwiches being purchased in front of us but can only personally comment on their Arancini, which we bought on a couple of occasions and although probably not at the excellence level of those from southern Sicily were still very very good.

You don't go to this place for the atmosphere, you go for the best aubergine you have had in your life!! The pizzas were also delicious. The staff was super friendly and even gave us a complimentary shot of something that tasted Jaegermeister before we left. We ended up going back there during our one-week trip. You can end up paying a lot more somewhere else but you won't find any better food.

At one of the five tables at the restaurant Il Mosaico you can taste examples of the best Italian cuisine. The Gourmet restaurant âa la gran carteâ Il Mosaico, where our star Michelin Chef Giovanni De Vivo, will make you test traditional and local cuisine
On our last night in beautiful Ischia we ate in this restaurant as we were staying in the hotel. And what a meal we had. Fantastic presentation, fantastic service, fantastic food and wine. A well deresrved Michelin star restaurant. Although a little pricey I would highly recommend it for a special occasion.Dear surveyor1205,thank you very much for your fantastic words!Hope to see you again soon.Warm regards

Welcome to "O 'Pignattello". It is not only a restaurant, a physical site, but a place of the soul. A journey to discover local stories, flavors founded and handed, made up with wisdom and simplicity. Why this name, Pignattello? It is the way we use here,
Itâs a pity that we didnât discover this place at the beginning of our stay!To be honest, I think that it has nothing to envy to the near starred restaurant! My âPennoni ai tartufi di mareâ(sea truffles) and âCappuccio dâasticeâ(lobster) were absolutely superb... and the chef Marcello is such a welcoming guy!

Went there because of Tripadvisor and because I am picky, but it exceeded my expectations. Really great food, salad was so huge and delicious!! Owner was super nice and all the waitresses. Can highly recommend this place and a huge plus was that the chicken salad was only 10 euros.

We managed to get a table for two at relatively late notice and felt fortunate throughout. We had lovely house white wine (eur8 approx for 1/2 bottle) and three different fish dishes (fried sea bass a particular favourite)Although the entrance could put you off, it really shouldnât once you walk downstairs and meet the team.

Sometimes a very little is all it takes to feel like you're in heaven... A magical atmosphere and breathtaking view characterise this enchanting eatery... Le Stufe osteria & oucina...Near the centre of Lacco Ameno.
We quite easily found the sign for this restaurant just off the main square in Lacco Ameno and headed on up the steep hill to reach it. I didn't think the view was particularly stunning - there are better views from the seafront. Anyway, the menu was explained to us in good detail and we ordered a sharing platter to start. They were really helpful and made changes to it because my husband is allergic to tuna and squid and they made substitutions . Everything on the sharing platter was lovely. It was the 'main' course I found confusing. Theres primi platti and secondi platti and we now realise we should have ordered one of each each because I ordered tuna tartare expecting it to be a main course portion but it turned out that it wasn't. It was tuna , with quite a few very thin slices of fennel and three slices of an orange on top. Husband ordered the salt cod dish and got a tiny bowled dish with just three small cubes of white fish in it. When we'd ordered the dishes I asked about vegetables and the waiter looked slightly confused, so I ordered a plate of mixed vegetables to come with our 'mains'. This turned out to be a large plate with a single layer of courgette, aubergine and fennel that had been chargrilled. So I think our 'main' courses were actually 'starters' too. Maybe we just don't understand that its expected to order 3 savoury courses in Italy?. I had a really nice chocolate and almond cake dessert which was home made. But we felt a bit puzzled when we left, and unsatisfied. If we'd ordered three savoury dishes each and then dessert then the bill would have been very expensive.

Indaco Restaurant was created in 2009, managed by Chef Pasquale Palamaro. Indaco, from 2013, has a Michelin star, as the award for the growth of its team. It's the gourmet answer to satisfy the most demanding and refined tastes. Located in a little bay, i
This restaurant is beautifully set almost at sea level on the pier of Hotel Regina Isabella in Ischia. Beautiful setting (a bit hard to find the restaurant as well hidden and not indicated at all). The place is beautiful, but that's it. The menu (it's a starred restaurant) is very simple and not so appealing but very expensive. You get very very very small portions (but really extremely small) for an unreasonable price. Plus there is no smoking free area, so you end up in a highly expensive restaurant in an open air setting that highlights special flavors all accompanied by the smell of the cigarette of the neighboring table. How to turn a nice place into a disaster. They should really make a separation between smokers and non smokers as at the end of the day if you eat special food (that is really so limited) you need to taste it all not to taste it with the smoke of the adjoining table. We also waited for 40 minutes after the meal to get the bill (and had to ask for it twice as we were limited in time -our babysitter had to leave at a certain time). We had been to other starred restaurants in other countries, but this is really just scene: all dishes well presented but limited in substance. We never saw the chef nor the maître, so really the star is just given for the scene, the panorama and the pricesDear guest, the cuisine of our Chef Pasquale Palamaro is simple but particular in flavours. We are aware that we can't please everyone and maybe you expected some extreme dishes. So, we are sorry you didn't like our menu and spent an unpleasant dinner because of smokers.Warmest regards

Farm to table restaurant with a beautiful view terrace overlooking the sea and the mountains. It was a holiday and the the restaurant was completely full. We were lucky to get a good table. The food was delicious and plentiful. We especially liked vegetable antipasto, but everything else was very tasty. We are comfortable to drive in Italy, but the road could be challenging(narrow) for those who didnât get use to driving in such conditions. Some tables are in the shade, some on the sun, so book your table accordingly and ask for a sea view. I am glad you enjoyed your meal with us and I thank you for taking the time to post a review. Grazie!
