We popped in after dinner for dessert and coffee. Warm welcome, table for two by the water, impeccable service. We ordered chocolate gateau with chantilly cream and two scoops of icecream to share. Chocolate gateau, still warm from the oven, was sublime. The chantilly cream came with whole fresh blueberries. The two boules of icecream and the cake were decorated with a cape gooseberry complete with opened seed case. Imaginative and such an innovative, enticing finishing touch. Coffee was superb too. We are sad they will be closed tomorrow (Tuesday) as we are certain brunch there would be delicious too.

We only work with fresh daily produce.
There should be no doubt that the very best falafels, humus and tahine dishes are served with a reassuring and satisfying consistency in this great restaurant. A truely excellent experience from the culinary expertise of a genial and professional master.Great menu, prepared with the best ingredients and a professional simplicity which marks this restaurant out as one of the best in the region for quality flavours and a pleasing consistency.Very highly recommended.

We arrived here one Thursday evening with probably another 4 groups seated before us. The restaurant specialises in pizzas. Once weâd sat down and ordered (and had delivered) drinks, whilst we perused the menu, we were told there were no pizzas. No further explanation. Pizza oven broken? No. On further questioning it appeared they had a number of orders already and werenât taking any more. Waiting for a period wasnât offered as an option. This left us with a problem as we had both wanted pizza. Given that we already had drinks it would have been difficult to go elsewhere and thus we were forced to choose an alternative. When the food arrived it was fine, albeit that there was a delay between the 2 dishes arriving. No good.We werenât the only ones disappointed. Several other parties after us had the same dilemma and ended up ordering something they didnât really want.Ironically we didnât see that many take away orders come across the pass, so can only guess that the pizza oven is minute! All in all not a good meal out and a place we would not recommend unless you order the week before!!!!Mrs,We are sorry if you haven't found complete satisfaction in our restaurant â¦The pizzas aren't our main plats (we have a large menu) and customers can take away the pizzas ⦠When we have lots of orders, we prefer to stop them because we don't want you to wait too long time â¦However, we hope despite your note, the plats you have tasted have pleased you ⦠We also hope to welcome you again and satisfy you completely ...

Close by the canal du midi, have a dinner in the garden en enjoy a unique moment where you will appreciate the perfect match betwween Food & Wines .
We revisited the restaurant because we loved the tapas, the ambience, the location, the wine (in particular) and of course, the owners Sylvie and Christophe. The weather lent itself to whiling away the evening nibbling at the plentiful tapas, supping the perfect wine (from their vinyard) speculating on various alternative uses for local derelict buildings and chatting with the proprietors without any pressure although they were here, there and everywhere as you'd expect - wonderful. There is an old upright piano that is presently sadly it seems just for decoration on site however if this was manned (or womaned) by a pianist tinkling on the ivories wow! that would be wonderful and would I feel (although, what do I know?) attract passing interest. Both gates are now open which allows passers by to see the delightful area and promises within.I continue to recommend this venue - worth a visit or two. Thanks so much for your comments ! We do our best to make you feel relax and ensuring that you have a great time with us and will try to fix our old piano in case of the great jazzman will show up :)

First time visit despite several visits to the area and probably ended up here as other places were closed. Very pleasantly surprised and would definitely come back. The quality of the food and wine was excellent and the only (small) criticism would be that the portions were too big (which is difficult for me to say ). Lovely pleasant service and we would highly recommend.

Restaurant traditionnel french Cook local production & vin cru minervois la liviniere
We hadn't been to this restaurant for many years, until we went with friends and family last Saturday evening. Apparently, it's changed hands since we last ate there - and it was a brilliant meal. Having said that, initially, I couldn't see anything on the chalk-board menu that I particularly fancied, until someone spotted the guinea-fowl which was part of the most expensive formule menu. Anyway, they allowed us to "mix and match. My starter was a gesiers salad (huge, could easily have stopped eating after that), but the guinea fowl dish was just lovely - served with a mushroom and seedy mustard sauce, and a few veg, absolutely perfect. The guinea fowl was perfectly cooked. Couldn't manage a dessert, not even the offered cheese or creme brulee, iles flottante or pannacotta - but our friends had a dessert each (and my husband had the cheese) and they thought they were lovely. Good portions, and all our food was delicious. The bill came to about just over 70 euros per couple, so not a fortune for a great meal. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty save for a few locals, but all of a sudden, it was packed with happy diners! hope they do really well here - we will definitely be going back!Bonjour j'ai ouvert le restaurant depuis 2009 il y a eu des changements depuis nous avons une carte papier également 8 mois par an mais nous préférons travailler à l'ardoise l'hiver pour travailler des produits de saison et des poissons d'arrivage Merci d'avoir pris le temps d'écrire un commentaire à bientôt j'espère Mr Plieu Jonathan gérant depuis 2009

Halfway between Beziers and Carcassonne, Homps is a small village along the road Minervoise. You must enter the village you find along the Canal du Midi and see the port and seaside atmosphere you will be immediately attracted to our terrace at the water'
We enjoyed our meal at La Peniche including the delicious local oysters which could not have been fresher.Tuna steak and cassolet for mains washed down with a carafe of local white wine all to be recommended. Friendly and efficient service complemented the experience.

Went here with friends this week while on a canal holiday. We didnât book a table but probably should have because we ended up inside instead of being able to sit on their lovely terrace. The food was delicious, we had various lovely meals including salmon, steak and duck. It was really good value. It is on the edge of Homps and right beside the canal. Iâd definitely recommend this if youâre in Homps but book a table.

Restaurant traditionnel avec vue exceptionnelle sur le canal du midi. Toute la carte peut être commandée sur place ou à emporter. Accueil a partir de 17h pour les boissons et 19h pour le diner.
We like to support local businesses and restaurants as we travel through Europe. This place by the canal has a nice location and in truth it's nice to have a beer out on the terrace. We chose to have dinner here and to be honest it was disappointing for one course at least. My wife had a grilled prawn dish with vegetables that were a sort of saute potato/ veg mix and she was reasonably happy with it. I made the mistake of ordering the filet de boeuff. Not good on any level I've eaten any number of beef filets around the world and as arguably the most tender cut of meat it's hard to ruin. If this was a filet I'd say time to change the butcher, mine was as tough as old boots and while I asked for medium rare it was more broadly well done, but regardless it was so tough and chewy. I did mention it to the staff when paying my bill who apologised but that was that. Maybe I just made the wrong choice but how can that be so? Sadly for me it was poor and as a result the value also poor. Don't think I'k risk it again. As I told you, i did eat that 1 week ago and it was amazing. Unfortunately, your piece was trough ... I think because you mentioned it after paying your bill so I couldnât check or do something on your bill. Thatâs a shame that you didnât tell me before, you could see that quality and customer satisfaction are the most important thing in my restaurant. I hope this unfortunate story wonât happen again (for you and for me). Meantime, I wish you the best around the world. Best regardsLa table de Riquet
