As with all our stays in Paradors we enjoyed the experience it is a great building, staff are terrific and it is in a lovely area BUT THEY NEED TO IMPROVE THREE AREAS the wifi signal, the quality of the food at lunch and dinner time and finally the pillow service

At first sight we realized that this would not be the place for a quiet, romantic, candlelit dinner for two. BUT, if you want to try some very good, authentic and reasonably priced food Leti is the place. We shared five tapas and a few glasses of wine between the two of us and felt more than content when we left. The plates were nicely presented and flavored with a touch of creativity. The food itself was perfectly cooked. We do not typically eat meat, but tried the secreto ibérico, solomillo con crema de casar and the buey con salsa de soja and were very impressed. We also recommend trying a dish with some Pimentón de la Vera in it because the flavor is very unique, much stronger than regular paprika. Finally, the service was great!

Restaurant whose kitchen mix local products with ingredients from latinoamerican and oriental countries. Funny and casual ambient. The kitchen is in view of the costumer.
We stopped here after a day swimming in the gargantas and it was a great end to a great day. Itâs just on the main road that runs through the region and the atmosphere sitting on the street was great as we watched the town coming to life in the evening. The most important point, I suppose, is that the food was fantastic. We were going on pot-luck as our Spanish is inexcusably poor, but all the dishes were first class. The theme seems to be mixing a bit of Spanish and a bit of Asian and the results are full of flavour and very well cooked. (For the desserts I have to say that the carrot cake was the best Iâve ever had, and I say that as someone who has had a lot of carrot cake in a lot of great cafes)The service was great too. They really went out of their way to try and overcome the language barrier which our poor Spanish skills had caused, and the chef came out to make sure everyone was enjoying their meals and answered questions about one of the desserts. She really came across as someone who cares about the food she is producing. If you are in the La Vera area then this place is well worth stopping off at.Dear Mss Connor: Thank you very much for your opinión. We apreciate to know that our carrot cake It,s the best one you ever had and that you really enjoined, as well as the rest of the dinner. We are glad to know that deep in the heart of Extremadura, there,s a beauty place you can come back whenever you want and been welcome. Thanks again, hope to see you soon.

An incredible afternoon spent with friends in this lovely restaurant with some incredible views. The All Day Menu for 14euros is absolutely top draw. I opted for Migas as a first course which is a local dish using the soft part of the bread loaf, pancetta and garlic all mixed together with a fried egg on top. This was followed by loin of pork with potato chips and rounded off with a local desert called Natillas which is similar to a set custard with nutmeg sprinklings.A few beers and coffee to finish rounded off a cracking meal and all for the princely sum of 86euro for the six of us.If you are in the area this is definitely worth a stop. Top food, top views, top price.

Cave Bar since 1969, typical of the time bar with history in its walls and consists of a cave with images recorded under the bar. Variety of typical homemade portions of the area whose ingredients we grow ourselves, completely cooked food and prepared at
Set a little off the main square in Garganta (look for the direction signage) this little bar is a real treat. Nice beer (indeed regional bottled beer was available, alas we noticed too late during our visit), great tapas and a friendly welcome. Well worth a look if you are in the area. Didn't get to see the cave but there's always next time...Thank you very much for commenting on our establishment and for such a good opinion. It is a real pleasure to know that we have fulfilled your expectations. We hope that everything goes well and you repeat. My regards and a tight hug

We chose this restaurant on the basis of Trip Advisor recommendations, but found that the dishes did not live up to the owner's hype - they were rather boring and lacking in taste. A request for some grated cheese to accompany the risotto was met with the response that there wasn't any. The restaurant was also rather cold.

We decided to visit "El Monasterio del Yuste" and decided to stop here for lunch. The menu and reviews seemed to indicate that this restaurant was the best place to eat. Unfortunately that was not the case.Food was very well presented but there was literally no flavor on anything. The red pepper salad with fish was the worst salad I have ever tasted. The service was extremely slow and the outdoor seating was unpleasant due to several wasps flying around.I would not recommend this place to anyone.
