We went for my birthday and they were very friendly. Food was good but service was very quick.,it was not exactly a leisurely Italian style supper, but with a lot of kids in the restaurant, maybe that what most of their customers want?

Good food, but depending how much you actually eat/drink, it might come out on the pricey side. This is good for very large groups of people who eat a lot and are not worried about dropping the cash there. For less, you can fill up your tummy elsewhere outside Ajo.Service was not very friendly or attentive - the lack in the famous Cantabrian hospitality.Big issue - they make a fuss about dividing the bill in more than 2 credit cards (you cannot expect a group of 20 people, to have only one person paying for all of it)You either accept cards, or you don't.

We stopped here for lunch after a morning at the beach. The service was good and food very good too. Great tuna salad and Padron peppers. Would recommend. Short walk along the road from playa de ris.

WELCOME TO AZAFRÃN. With a modern style, The AZAFRÃN Restaurant known for being a welcoming place, with intimate lighting and, moreover, is the way to Ris beach in Noja, near the school "Palace". The home is ready for 50 people in our dining room. Also ha
Fantastic place to eat. The food was excellent as was the service. There was twelve of us and the restaurant opened especially for us and the staff and owner could not have done any more to improve our eating experience. I would give it five stars

First the location is superb, over a relaxed two hour lunch we watched the tide come in and learned the Spanish words 'Ria' [river mouth] and 'Marea' high tide]. It is stunning location, where they use fresh sea water to charge their live lobster and shellfish tanks. The food was superb, we had the BBQ mixed shellfish platter 2x2 for four people and could only just eat it all. Home made desserts, and local wines were fabulous.Highly recommended for a Taste of Cantabria.Recommend BOOKING and to arrive ON-TIME!

Went in for a quick bite, so we had some Raciones...The squid was lovely. The patatas bravas just a plate of under fried potatoes with masses of slightly spicy mayonnaise dolloped on top... Far too much. Chorizo was ok, but massively over seasoned.

We went to this restaurant on 28 of August 2014. Huevo Trufado appeared to be a liquid egg with topinambur powder on top. Strange concept and not tasty at all. On the second we had a Carrillera Paco - pork cheek with fua gra and a Carne Roha- a steak that was served with sweet hazelnut paste that tasted just like nutella. Fua gra was a bit strange, however both the steak and callillera were good. Happily we were served a wonderful maiz bread, which helped us to cope with the food. Letely we found this bread in the bakery across the road from the restaurant. I would recommend the restaurant chef to focus first on the taste of food avoiding the risky combinations of products.

Celebrated my birthday at the restaurant, which was convenient to our beach apartment. We arrived early for dinner but were greeted and welcomed none the less. Good selection of local foods and service to match. Child friendly although 8,30 opening always takes getting used to with a young British family.

Where to eat Spanish food in Isla: The Best Restaurants and Bars

We visited this rural Spanish restaurant for dinner on 19/08/2014 and as myself, wife and kids were the only English diners at this locals restaurant we initially felt somewhat dubious. However we were quickly proven wrong when we sat down at the table and were made to feel very welcome, the staff could see that we were struggling a little with the language barrier with one lady coming across and making a point of translating each item on the menu and describing the dish in English. The food was phenomenal with delicate flavours and an artisan touch, some of the dishes were on the small side but fitted in with the nouveau cuisine served at this place. Normally we enjoy hearty meals with big portions however we felt it was well worth the sacrifice of portion sizes versus high quality and flavoursome food. The experience was capped off with the optional al fresco dining in the walled garden/restaurant terrace (with an outside wall mounted tv screen) at the front of this property. We would definitely return, ique approveche!
