This tiny restaurant has been superbly decorated with fabrics, lanterns and mirrors so you really feel you might have stepped out of the bazaar and into a little corner of Marrakech.
I have been here a number of times both as a twosome and solo. Despite looking quite small from the front it goes back quite a way and opens up so a larger group could be catered for. It is decorated in an authentic Moroccan style that enhances the experience.Compared to many the food is generally quite healthy with salads, chicken, vegetables, etc. On my last visit I started with the spicy sausages on salad followed by the chicken tagine. A word of caution the food arrives piping hot so is best left for a few minutes before starting. The service has always been polite and friendly, with smiles thrown in. Too many places now have staff that give you the feeling they do not want to be there. The mark up on the wine is also reasonable rather than excessive!

La Cosa Nostra in St Albans is a short walk from the main train station or the town centre. Parking nearby is an issue.Very basic tables inside but small and cosy with a nice atmosphere.Friendly service and the fresh cooked food- you can see the chef at work, was very tasty.A pleasant first time and good prices for the area. would def return.

We visited on a Thursday evening and had the restaurant to ourselves - amazing considering how busy it is at weekends and how wonderful the food was. There is a good choice of dishes, meat, fish and vegetarian, and everything is home made and fresh. We had the mini meze and torpedo prawns to start, followed by stifado and lemon and garlic chicken. Everything was really tasty and authentically Greek. The coffee was lovely and so was the baklava. We shall definitely return!

Tried this for lunch and enjoyed the special chicken with rice and salad. A good choice of meals on the menu, including Lebanese pizzas, mezze and a range of grills with quick and friendly service. Great value for money.

Wide ranging menu. Cafe in daytime - more of a restaurant at night. Particularly good for vegetarian food - many choices.
Really friendly staff, good service, excellent food at a reasonable price. Had a lite lunch of omelette and chips that was well presented with salad and coleslaw. Would recommend and will visit again

Having received a personal recommendation from a trusted friend we visited this restaurant early on Saturday evening and what a wonderful treat for our tastebuds. I had the Mixed Kebab and my friend had beautiful Chicken Dish with a side of Sautéed Vegetables together with a Crisp Mediterranean Salad. The quality of the Food and service was unsurpassed. I cannot recommend this Restaurant highly enough. It will certainly not be my only visit to this stunning Restaurant.

As non meat eaters, we ordered the squid for starters and the fish with mixed veg(no alternative). The starter consisted of four battered squid rings at the price of around £6 and to my horror we were served mixed veg that was clearly from a ready frozen pack with the fish, We paid £16.95 for a sea bass that was well over cooked and dry with a few potatoes and frozen veg! It's a total disgrace! No sauce with it? No cooking skills involved at all!!!Needless to say that we won't be going back!We are so sorry for your bad experience! We do appreciate costumers feedback and we try to give you best to our costumers. All our staff are professional and energetic...always trying to give you a good experience! One star reviews means a lot to all the restaurants and peoples have to be careful giving one ... Nothing positive was mentioned and when you give a 1 star review you should be based not only in the food that in some cases it might be perfect but not in your personal taste. It should also be based on service, decoration , atmosphere etc...We apologise again for your bad experience and even though you said you wonât be coming back we would like to have you again in the future and show you why we are a highly rated restaurant!!!
