The restaurant is 100 metres from the train station, and much appreciated, we were told, by the footballers who live in Wilmslow. I went for an early dinner with friends, before travelling back to London. Despite our early arrival - some 4 hours before one would normally start dinner in Madrid! - we were received warmly by the delightful front-of-house manager, and ate garlic bread and a variety of paellas. The arroz negro was the best I have ever tasted, with superb prawns and squid ink, and a wonderful socarrat. My friends were equally pleased with their paellas. We will be back.

I used to visit this very attractive restaurant weekly, until I moved employment; the food and staff were just fabulous. We decided to revisit the restaurant a couple of weeks ago, for a mid week luncheon. Disappointingly, one of our main courses was incorrectly ordered and we were offered a replacement. Both dishes were removed and we had to wait for the replacements. We were advised the staff member had, on their system, selected the meal underneath the one Iâd ordered. We decided to try again last week and again we were disappointed; we both ordered the meatball starter and whilst they were well presented, some of them were virtually uncooked. We were told the meatballs were cooked for two hours, but even the waiter agreed some were obviously more cooked than others. They were replaced with apologies, but it definitely put a dampener on the rest of the meal. Whilst the staff are super efficient and pleasant and the restaurant attractive, itâs disturbing that on a quiet lunch service, they couldnât get our meal choice right. Lack of care and attention isnât a suitable reason. In addition, and again on a quiet lunchtime visit, our uncooked food was a concern and Iâm so glad we noticed this quickly. The price of a glass of rose wine, at almost £8 is, I feel, expensive. The Prosecco was £7 and decidedly average. Iâm not sure weâll rush back

Weâd booked a family get together for 10. The menu offers typical tapas food but it is high quality. With so many of us, we chose a wide range of food. Particular favourites were the seafood croquettes and the belly pork. This was my first visit but I was very impressed with the food and the service and Iâll definitely be back. My only adverse comment is that they donât have any large tables, our table for 10 comprised 5 circular tables for 2 pushed together

I have visited Kalamata a few times now, during my lunch break, plus once with my family, and always enjoyed a delicious lunch.I am very impressed with the quality of the food and reasonable prices, together with the excellent warm service and general atmosphere of being in a Greek taverna, far away from the grey skies of Handforth! The sandwiches I have tried are freshly made with generous fillings of halloumi or feta cheese, with salad, delicious olives (imported directly from Kalamata) and homemade seasoned chips, all wrapped in a traditional Greek pitta bread.Add a frappe or cold chocolate for a real treat to drink and you will enjoy a unique, Mediterranean style lunch. I am fortunate to be working a few minutes walk from this cafe so I can look forward to many more visits in the future!

First visit to this restaurant and it was amazing. The decor is stunning, staff were really friendly and pleasant and the food was unbelievable. Mixed kebab meats were tasty and tender and the Hummus and lamb schwarma starter was to die for. We also had the potato and minced lamb starter which was so much nicer than we thought it would be and an added bonus that you can nip next door to tesco to get your wine and pay a corkage charge. A wonderful evening with fantastic food and we can't wait to return in the coming weeks, thank you to all the staffThank you for your review, we are glad to hear of your experience with Yara and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Thank you, Aya

Will definitely visit again. Food was amazing. Menu choice was so good we didn't know what to choose. Staff were very attentive and made us very welcome. Food delivered in a timely manner. Everything was so nice. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they certainly made the night special even though they didn't know . There were other parties celebrating special birthdays and when they sang "happy birthday" Turkish style it was lovely. Thank you every one of you. We will definitely visit again. Well done.

An independent, neighbourhood Bistro run by brothers Pezh and Rom; Sarafina focuses on locally sourced, sustainble produce to create its seasonal menus from scratch. Itâs all about good food in a relaxed atmosphere. Recently awarded Cheshire Life Magazine
We came here with friends and perfect choice. Atmosphere was buzzy and place full. For starters we shared the calamari and then the meatball and the aubergine dish. For mains I took the risotto with blue cheese, walnuts and squash which was lovely, other pizza or pasta dishes. Really nice bottle of Sicilian Fiano to wash it all down. Lovely.

Myself with 23 friends & family booked out the whole restaurant on the Saturday evening for my birthday meal. These guys certainly pulled out all the stops to ensure that It was a night to remember. We were all warmly welcomed by the staff as we arrived clutching my own music too. Sofia and Thasis just outdone themselves with the meze as it just kept coming and each course outdone the previous one.All my guests had such an amazing evening helped by Tomâs charm and an endless supply of food and drink. I have eaten here many times with various friends and we cannot wait until our next visit to enjoy the amazing food and warm hospitality we get every time.Just make sure that you have a good appetite because you will never leave hungry. We did actually go back again last week and well..... another incredible evening of freshly cooked food and warmth from all the staff.
