Things to do in Gothenburg
Most people donât expect very good food in a shopping mall but once in awhile you can get lucky. Sante is that place. My wife and I were hungry and while passing by we saw people eating delicious great smelling and generous portions of food and we stopped. We got lucky! We had two grilled to perfection salmon meals. It came with rice or potatoes with a side salad buffet for half the price of other restaurants. If you are more into food than ambience this is the place for you. Ask for an English menu.

This was the most delicious middle eastern restaurant we have ever eaten in. Back home in Bosotn we have a few great middle eastern places that serve very gourmet renditions of middle eastern food. This restaurant sticks to the more of the basics but each dish was so well prepared and so much more delicious than we've ever had. And the ambiance is lovely and the prices are good! Highly recommend this restaurant.

On a short afternoon trip into Gothenburg we thought weâd eat out but our initial choice didnât look like weâd fit in with three kids! We thought Caleo smelt lovely on the way past so went back there as was open and quiet at 4pm. There was no kids menu but were offered an alternative of chicken skewers with fries which worked out perfectly for the kids (although cost more than a usual childâs mea) and I had the chicken special and my husband the mixed grill and have to say the food was absolutely delicious. Restaurant was completely full by the time we left. Outdoor seating looks nice for warmer days.

Small restaurant, few steps away from Gothia Towers. Limited choice from the menu and no opening shown to get anything out from it. I've got a nice piece of beef, tasty and soft, with assorted vegetables. Wine menù can be enriched as well, very limited selection for by the glass wines. Nothing special in terms of service and atmosphere but for a quick dinner it is OK.

Rustic, genuine, italian trattoria. Benvenuti!
This is a place we would gladly visit weekly if we were living in Gothenburg. Cosy atmosphere, friendly and attentative service, authentic, somewhat rustic Italian food (that is a compliment! Truly al dente, bravo), a wine list that makes us wine nerds go bananas. A very strong 4 this!!

Vegetarian/mostly vegan mediterranian food. We don't use eggs, flour, butter, bouillon or cream in our food, so it also suits most allergic people. With a warm and welcoming atmosphere, everybody feels at home!
The soup was great, hummus, salad, as well as the finger food wrapped in grape leaves. The order comes with free coffee and bread. The kids loved the soup. However I didnât like their sweetie goodies because I couldnât handle the sweetness. Their food is not Swedish by the way but mideastern stuff. They also offer warm glogg (with or without alcohol) perfect for a cold winter day. I highly recommend this place. Those who served us were super friendly too.

Turkisk medelhavs meze och grill bar.Upplev turkiska kökets smakrika förrätter (meze) och grill rätter, drycker.
Sat down and waited a few minutes for service. Ordered a Colata Salada, Pasha mix, vegetarisk Tallrisk for myself and my wife to share. The salad that they brought was probably about 20% parsley, and I canât even explain how small it was.Despite the vegetarian dish stating that it came with broccoli and some other vegetables, they added their own vegetables. They didnât have any broccoli and the other ones that were stated there despite not telling us anything when they delivered the very small portion of vegetables. On the combination platter, pretty much everything on the plate other than the lamb chop was less than mediocre. The chicken was completely dry and rubbery, The sliced potatoes instead of being potentially well done and hard like chips, were soft. My wife and I felt that other than the lamb chop, none of the meats were better than mediocre. Seriously, the best part of the meal was the ice water. I wouldâve given a one star rating, but because the server brought out the food and drink promptly, I am begrudgingly giving it 2 starsI had made a reservation through the Fork, which said there was a 20% discount for doing so. That shouldâve been my first warning: discounting food. Anyway, since they didnât come over timely in my opinion to get my check in spite me attempting to wave him down, I went up to pay and the owner/manager? He Quoted me the full 100% until I reminded him that I came in through that reservation (which he then took off the 20%.)Anyway, by far my least favorite or the least favorite dining experience in Sweden.
